Favourite Rock Song of All Time...

Hmm, that's tough. If I had to narrow it down to one song, based on how often I listen to it, I'd have to say "Welcome to the Jungle", by Guns and Roses.
 
I can't decide between:
Alice in Chains - Rooster
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
 
Ugh, one song? Tough... I so wanna choose the medley (Sun King through The End) from Abbey Road - The Beatles.

I guess... The End - The Beatles. xD
 
Mine would have to be a toss up between Symphony Of Destruction (Megadeth), Animal I Have Become (Three Days Grace), and Evil (A Chorus O Resistance) (By Project 86)...

I think the symphony's gonna win though...
 
Stairway to Heaven is really overrated. And burned. And raped. All this courtesy of radio stations around USA. Dust In The Wind anyone?

Not that I don't love the holy Stairway, but I better don't mess with it to come through clean.

As for me, I couldn't say. So many magnific rock songs to choose from. I can't limit myself to the "classics" (a.k.a. the "overplayed") ones around.

That song is backmasked. I don't know if you all know that, but it says "Here's to my sweet Satan" and alot of other stuff when it's played backwards.
 
Rock you like a hurricane - Scorpions

Well sweeties, that's my only favorite rock song I can think of at the moment. XD
 
Really, most anything in my siggy I like. :P

I like Stairway just because...I don't know really, it's just one of those songs I can really relate to and get "lost in the music" in a sense. I like most anything by Queen, especially Killer Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody.

GnR...Welcome to the Jungle is a REALLY good song.

I love the beatles...seriously, they have some great songs. Some I think are overrated (Hey Jude...) but I still enjoy them anyways.

I like Kashmir by Led Zeppelin too. I was amazed to see 'Black Dog' on SportsCenter...but that's a good one.

AC/DC is a good band, but I tend to find them overrated. Still, they make some nice music.

That about sums it up. I'm really weird with music thoguh, there are some songs I just really hate. With a passion. Actually, I can see why Stairway to Heaven genrates so much "overrated" talk all the time.

For the record, "Don't Stop me Now" by Queen I can no longer listen to after I heard Mcfly sing it...I don't know why, it just killed it for me :(

Really tough question.

I love the Scorpions, Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon, and the Beatles

Desecration Smile -Red Hot Chili Peppers for current rock.

In the Overrated pile that I dont really care for (IMO): Anything by Queen, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, maybe GNR.

There's too many great songs and bands to choose from.

Funny how we're bestest buddies and we have the same tastes in rock :P

But yeah, I think it just depends on who you talk to on what is "overrated" and what isn't, since rock can sound very different. Just take TNT by AC/DC to Mr. Postman of the Beatles :P Two TOTALLY different sounds, but I like both ;)

And there are many others I can't quite seem to remember.

The more recent ones I enjoy listening to, because I'm more of a modern rock type of person are:

The Killers - Move Away
AudioSlave - Like a Stone
The Tool - Pot
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Face Down (I've been listening to this when it first came out, when it became overplayed, I was highly disappointed)
Art of Dying - Completely
SweetHeart - On Off
Stone Melodies - This I know
Ten Ways from Sunday - The Road

Old school Metallica (i.e. their first 4 albums) > the rest of their albums. Don't know why, but The Black Album signified their slow drift away from thrash metal and into mainstream hard rock. But I guess this is a thread about your favourite rock song of all time. xD

Adding on to my previous post, I enjoy other Led Zep songs, namely Kashmir, Black Dog and the Immigrant Song. I like some GnR songs too (November Rain and Welcome to the Jungle).
