Who here has heard about Final Fantasy IV: The After? The sequel to Final Fantasy IV featuring the son of Cecil & Rosa, Ceodore, that was released for cell phones in Japan. Well I discovered great news! Its being released in NA and EU as a WiiWare title titled Final Fantasy IV: The After Years!

The NA & EU just have a placeholder image for now and no real info, but you can see alot on the JAP site. If you look in the characters section, remember that Gilbart is Edward's Japanese name.

They feature different stories and characters. From what I've seen, Versus XIII's main character is a male in dark clothing with silver, white, or light blond hair. He seems to be able to control various blades and 'warp'. Rumor is that XIII & Versus XIII's stories never even cross and they feature different teams working on them, with the main FF Team behind XIII and the Kingdom Hearts Team behind Versus XIII. There's also a third version, called Agito XIII being made for the cell phone which features a school setting. At first, I didn't think we'd be seeing Agito XIII released NA & EU, but with the news I listed above, its a little bit more possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if more FFVII characters get look-a-likes in XIII, on a related note, Zack has one in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep named Terra, one of the three playable characters.

Lol, Had to kill the same boss for over 6 times because after I destroy it, this cinematic scene comes up and then it freezes.....
Never finished the game, couldn't kill the Sanctuary Keeper and couldn't be bothered after I died 3 times.

Well, I see some similarities with other FF's:

FFVI: There is no "main character".

FFVII: Lightning have amnesia, same as Cloud, they work with a rebel faction, but this time they're the ''evil guys''

FFX: That place looks like Zanarkand.

Wanna play that now XD, even in Japanese no big deal. But what a big delay Japan 2009, USA 2010

the japanese part wouldnt even be that big of a hassle i could probably try to put together a patch for it to translate it (roughly lol) to english ^_^



EDIT: i just noticed, in the final fantasy VII banners, we dont have any for the CC guys zack gen, and angeal. if u guys dont mind i could post a couple and see if u like it? (i already have a zack and genesis , just need an angeal lol)

I've played some of the Final Fantasy games on the Nintendo DS, and they are pretty fun! I will definitely join this club.
 
I wish there was some more FFXII love. Once people accept the fact that romance wasn't a key part of the game, it's really amazing. Plus Ashe is amazing, and IMO more like Lightning than Cloud is. Both Lightning and Ashe have that "no-nonsense" personality that Cloud never had.

Actually, I'm not dissing Cloud, but I really think him and Ashley from RE4 have too much in common. Well, at least Cloud became pwnsome, but he started out like an idiot in CC! xD

Wait, does that mean Ashley is destined for pwnsome powers too? O_O OMG

Anyway, I've been playing The Last Remnant, also by SE. Anyone heard of it/like it as I do? :)

Thats because I only used the character profile pic sprites from the games up to FFIX as well as some Advance & DS remakes. I don't have any sprites from some of the games..I don't think Angeal or Genesis have mugshots anyway..I can make some using the FF characters mugshots from Ehrgeiz or maybe Before Crisis.

Genesis and Angeal both have mugshots from the DMV.
And I'd love a Cissnei userbar..
 
Well, since I've beaten a few of the games, I think I can consider myself a legitimate fan, so I'd like to join this club. ;)
 
Sure can, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII. I played X-2, but it was a bit girly for my tastes. I didn't like Yuna that much anyways.
 
I felt X-2 was far to repetitive, just revisited all the places again and again, I got to 3rd chapter then got bored. My favourite will always be X but I think X-2 ruined it for most people.
 
Mm, personally, I can't say anything on the PS2 games XD I don't have a PS2, that's why ; ; Though I do want one (and I want a PSP too, but for different reasons not regarding Final Fantasy ;D).

Aye, I've only played the GBA/Gamecube/DS games, I have. Though I have played a couple PS2 games... Thanks to a good friend of mine who happens to have one...

Oh yeah, I had forgotten. If I can find somewhere that has the sprites, I'll be happy to make them. I'm having trouble finding mugshot sprites for certain games, especially newer ones like FFIVDS & CCFFVII, not to mention I'm also creating some for the MegaMan Fan Club I recently opened.

Definitly play the older ones, especially VI, my personal favorite. Although I also love IV, which has a wonderful 3D remake for the Nintendo DS if you didn't already know.
