The other character doesn't quite look like Ilyana to me at first glance but now you mentioned, she does. Now what would you guys expect in FE10?
 
I'm just hoping FE11 is for the DS then.

Personally, I think it'd be nice to use the Wiimote to flick around the cursor and move characters. Very simple. Can't think of much else for the motion sensing though. Don't take the battle animations away and replace them with first person fights.

Ugh.

I really didn't had time to check the E3's conference, so i'm not much up to it.

So... a Fire Emblem 10? Interesting, still, i want that they re-make Fuuin No Tsurugi (or at least make another one with Roy) because heck, his debut in SSBM should had been for something apart of gaining more sells in his game in japan huh?

Anyways, I'm expecting FE10 to have better melee units (since FE9 melee units were crap, save for Ike), old support system, bring back shamans, no biorythm...
 
@##$%...I might have to consider buying that godawful system now just for this, provided dark magic is back and biorhythm is eliminated. They're cruel, cruel people to entice me like this.

Well Alan, I was considering on buying the system because of SSB, but FE10 sealed the deal. =D

Edit: It's likely that the character is Sothe since Sothe was looking for someone in FE9, but I doubt the girl is Ilyana since Ilyana had purple eyes in FE9.
 
I really didn't know whether another SSB had been announced or not...but I'm coming close after seeing Metroid Prime 3 and FE10, and I'm disgusted with myself for it because of how much I've been debating about how poorly-conceived the Wii is lately (and not making any friends for it either <_<; )

Also...I need to PM you with a funny proposition regarding FE. 'll do that now, I suppose XD
 
Well, ignorance is bliss, and I don't know any of these poorly conceived plans Nintendo has made for the Wii so I don't have a bias towards it. But anyway, I just can't wait for it now... X3
 
I'm softened somewhat after seeing games, especially FE10, though...I'm still incredibly torn because a good-looking game is nothing if it has a crappy controller.

Anyone else get the feeling that that little bird is going to end up being central to the plot...say, a laguz?
 
Well, you can still use the shell (which looks comfortable).

The bird could be a laguz, which is interesting of you to bring up, Alan. (forgot about Laguz)
 
Yes, as if Sothe is central to the game, it implies that this game also takes place on Tellius, therefore laguz being possible playable characters again.

...which, admittedly, I wouldn't be all that thrilled with. Mamkutes are fine, but the broad menagerie available in PoR was overkill.
 
Well, in my opinion, I didn't like Laguz. They were only useful for the last stage and only two of them were actually useful. And I don't consider the Laguz as Mamkutes. I believe Mamkutes can kick Laguz butt any day... =D
 
I found none of them useful; I avoided them after using them for a couple of chapters after realizing I was quickly becoming dependant on them to win chapters.

You're right...Laguz have boring, generic Laguz Stones, but Mamkutes are the only ones privileged enough to have Dragonstones. Fa and Myrrh would completely obliterate even the best Laguz in PoR <_<;
 
I refused to buy FE9 because of the Shaman cut. What good is FE without dark magic? Once it goes to player's choice, I'll probably buy it.

Personally, I think the Wiimote will fit this game nicely. Please Nintendo, don't try to throw in any extra cheesy minigames though x_x;
 
It's possible that the enemy is a secret cult who studies ancient/dark magic and one of their members deflects to your side. It's simple as that to gain a dark magic user. But yeah, that's Sothe alright. I doubt that the girl is Ilyana though.
 
Sothe actually looks a few years older; he was quite young in FE9. He's taller and more muscular in the video.

I'm going to agree that it's not Ilyana; Ilyana is taller and her hair is lilac, not gray.

As for dark magic, it's easily unleashed on Tellius through any number of magical disasters/archaelogical discoveries, etc. I honestly think most discerning FE fans wouldn't mind the non sequitur if only to have dark magic back.
 
More than five sounds good too...admittedly when I first saw him I thought it was the guy from Prince of Persia, so it's probably closer to ten XD
