FireRed hack: [FIRERED HACK] Pokemon: The Springvale Legacies

To me, this reminds me exactly of old white, did you use that hack as a rombase any chance and if you did, or used tiles from other people, credit them please, creators of the tiles (or even foullump)could come back and see you never gave any credit to them what so ever. The story isn't that bad though, I guess I'll give it a try.

I used a default Firered ROM Base. No tiles have been inserted, palettes are self customised.

I think of the people here need to recap on Old White, yes there are MINOR similarities on thr e intro,, but the game is in it's primary stages ATM,

Hey everyone. I need a little scripting help, I have the basics pretty much mastered, there's just the odd flaw I'm struggling to overcome. If you are interested in lending me a little help with scripting I'll happily credit you for it, I'm also looking for someone to design me a new OW for my character, as again, I'm not the biggest expert in such a field.

Message me if you are interested :)

Hey, it looks good so far, tiles and scripts (plot as well), but there are some things you should fix; too much grass can be annoying, also square, 1 tiled paths can be annoying as well.
The palettes need a bit of fixing too, but overall it's a good hack! Keep going, mate :D

Hey, cheers for the comment. But yeah, they're just little things I will fix and change in time, im just really struggling with time right now, and part of my scripting is messing up but I'll get there.

I don't think you'll remember me either Ray, but when you first took up hacking we knew each other vaguely ;D

Normally I don't read every story synopsis on here, mainly due to either them being walls of text, boredom, or geeting to the game outright. I must say though, i'm into the story of yours. It sounds intriguing to me.

As for the Old White cooments, I do remember the beginning of it to be similar to what you're doing, but I also understand that you weren't trying to copy the exact sequence or anything. In fact, I don't care - i\I like the whole University opening regardless.

As for the starters, you posted Abra, Larvitar and Beldum are part a selection of six? Any clues to what the other three may be, or am I overlooking these things?

Anyway, keep it up man, you're doin' fine.

Well, the story was tl:dr, so im not going to say anything there. Judging by the screens, try throwing in some trees around the buildings, i have yet to ever see a city irl that has no trees near buildings. Your routes: are bad, you spammed the maps with grass, that shows how lazy you are to map or lack of creativity, try to be creative with your maps, grass everywhere is just annoying for the player.

"Tiles, palletes may change as hack progresses". Bad idea: unless you would like to redo every map again, be my guest.
