    Hey guys. I made an account here specifically to ask this question so apologies if this is not the place, but I need some help.
    Here's the problem at hand :
    I'm not sure which mon to use as my fire type.
    As of currently, I am using a Fletchinder, but I caught a female Salandit awhile back because I heard it was a good choice, so I'm wondering which of the two would be the better option for my team, since I'm having trouble deciding on my own.
    My team, so far :
    Level 36 Primarina, lv 38 Espeon, and lv 23 Charjabug that I'm in the process of levelling up, as well as lv 31 fletchinder.
    So the salandit is lv 16, so it would require some levelling, but I'm okay with that if it provides me with a greater fire type lol
    Apologies for the huge block of text but I really need some help here !! Thanks in advance;;

    I think Salandit will be more reliable because Fletchinder's line relies on recoil moves. Remember, its also only in-game, so you can use whatever pokemon you enjoy and like the most. Salandit is also a new pokemon, so you might have fun trying it out! I used a Salazzel in my game and she was super fast and strong.

    Salazzle was part of my Moon team and she definitely does the job as a fast special attacker. Corrosion is also a neat ability since it allows her to bypasses the Steel and Poison-type's immunity to being poisoned.

    Just make sure you're patient finding that female Salandit because they are a 12.5% chance. That rarity and patience will pay you off very well in the end.

    I went for Salandit for the fact it can poison anything and has better defenses all around (at least mine does anyway).

    Adding onto this in case you do decide with Salandit, a Male Cute Charm Pokemon in the lead slot will raise the chances of finding a female Salandit to 66%

    This may be a little incase you've already chosen, but I'd recommend Salandit. While Talonflame can land some hard hits, Saladit evolves into Salazzle which is one of the fastest new Pokémon, and with a line up of primarily slow Pokémon, that does go a long way.

    Another thing to note is Salazzle's awesome Sp. Atk base stat which comes in handy when it starts to learn those powerful special based moves such as Dragon Pulse, Sludge Bomb, and Flamethrower. I didn't intend on using Salandit in my first playthrough, but it ended up on my team and it really did help out in a lot of tricky situations. I've used both Talonflame and Salazzle and (assuming you're evolving) I'd recommend going with Salandit.
