If you've started playing games a long time ago i'm sure you have some games that bring tons of nostalgia, if you do, what are some of the games that do so for you?

    Here's some of mine!

    -Bad Piggies
Well like i played this game a lot in my younger childhood and it's still a fun game to this day lol

-Angry birds, Angry birds space, and Angry birds star wars,
Yeah i was obsessed with angry birds when i was really young, lol

    -Pokemon Sun
My first pokemon game <33 always will be my favorite region for that lol

    -Pokken tournament (wii u)
the wii u was the first game console i ever played! and I Played this a lot with my bros back in the day.

    -New Super mario bros wii
My first game i played ever, it was on the wiiu because backwards compatibilty or smthn idk

    -Nintendo land
every minigame game in this game is peak nostalgia <3

    -Mario Galaxy 2
another game i played a lot on the wii u XD

    -Super smash bros wii u
i remember I chosing palutena just because i thought the anime trailer for smash bros was the coolest lol.

    -Fantasy life
I loved magic and stuff when I was little so any game you can play as a mage was a good game for me lol

    -Miitopia(3ds)
As I said before, i could be a wizard lol.

and thats all i'll list for now lol
anyway, i'd love to see what games bring back a lot of fun you had when you played them!

Opening a Wii U for Christmas when I was 12 years old. I even hugged the box.

We didn't have much money and I wasn't actually expecting a console.

You know the best part? I didn't have to pay $60 for each game on it. For a poor kid, the virtual console was amazing. I could stuff the console with games at almost no cost.

That was really nice to read! ^^

There are far too many for me to list, but I'll mention a good few of them for you!

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine (N-64)
My first ever 'adventure game'. I loved it so much as a kid that I still play it at least once a year. I've practiced is so much that I actually did a speedrun of both 'all treasures' and 'any%' just to see how well I did. I love this janky-as-all-heck game so much. It's easily my favorite N-64, and the biggest reason I'll never get rid of my old console.

    Star Fox 64 (N-64/3DS)
Another one I played to death as a kid. (no wonder I love Foxes so much, 'eh? :p) I've memorized most of the dialog from it and recite it often IRL. It's also got one of the best game sondtracks I've heard on an N-64 game, at least to me. I'm actually so experienced with it that I unlocked every single level medal on the 3DS remaster in one try in a single night while I was casually watching a Youtuber struggle to even get through some of the later-game bosses LOL. XD

    Super Mario 64 (N-64(/3DS-HB))
Okay, like, what else can I say about a game where everything's pretty much been said already? LOL. I also grew up with it and also love it to pieces. The DS version (with all the extra characters) was good too, but it never was able to match the charm of the original for me.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask (N-64/3DS)
I loved them so much that I now further hone my skills in each by exclusively running 'no-logic' randomizer seeds of both of these on the 3DS remster/remake respectively, (though the 3DS remake of MM on its own is TRASH-GARBAGE lol) I've also tried challenge runs of the original MM, with the goal of completeing it in as few 'cycles' as possible, which was super fun to teach myself and route. (didn't use any guides for it, just instinct lol)

    Mario Party 1/3 (N-64)
My favorite Mario Party games. The minigames were also some of the best in the series as far as I'm concerned.

    Mario Kart Double Dash (N-GC)
I played this SO MUCH LOL. Me and my mom used to work together to try and win all the gold trophies to unlock all the stuff, only for me to erase the file afterward so we could do it again lol. XD Lots of great memories of this one. Easily my favorite MK game as well.

    Kirby's Air Ride (N-GC)
My favorite Kirby game for one. I played the City Trial mode FOR HOURS after I found out it existed. Probably one of the reasons I got into games where you upgrade stats and stuff LOL.
The other modes were alright, but the only reason I even remember it at all was because of how incredible City Trial was (and still is lol) for me at the time.

    Wario World (N-GC)
WELCOME TO WARIO WORLD! Okay yeah, I did recently play through it again and I still love it just as much as I did growing up. It's short, not too tough, but not laughably easy either, has a fantastic soundtrack, and you get to hear the W guy yell funny insults at monsters as he gets smacked around by ghost rhinos lol. XD

    Luigi's Mansion (N-GC/3DS)
My first N-CG game. I loved it and still do, and the 3DS port was solid as well! It gave me great memories such as screeming for Mario if I ever find myself stuck in a haunted house, and that as long as I make it out without getting smashed by a fake door, I'll be richer than the Monopoly guy lol. :p (it's a great game, and one thing that makes it better for me was getting to see my mom, much later in her years, go back to it again and get extremely good at it! never expected to see something like that, but it was wonderful for me to watch)

    Paper Mario (N-64)
PM64-My first ever RPG. I was so young when I first played it that I couldn't even read the dialog, so I had to have my mom play along with me so I could understand it lol. I always struggled to get through it back then because I used to hate grinding levels, always skipping non-required fights because I wanted to get through the story. That has since changed lol. :p

Like I said, there are a lot more lol, but these come to mind instantly when I think about older games that I loved to play and had great memories with.
(just some others by name only- Sly Cooper series (PS-2), Transformers War For Cybertron (Xbox-360), Assassin's Creed 2 (Xbox-360), Mario-Luigi Superstar Saga (GBA) Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door (N-GC) Super Paper Mario (Wii))

A few games come to mind:

    - Pokemon Diamond
It was my first Pokemon game and I don't care how worse It is compared to Platinum, but whenever i play it, It just feels different, kind of like "this Just feels right".

    - Dolphin Island
My first ever game. It brings back memories of me as a child wanting to be a vet. I completed this game only years and years later. It feels like it grew up with me, even though i forgot about it for a good 10 years lol

    - New Super Mario Bros
The one for DS. I played it several times and it was my first Mario game. I liked it a lot and so my friends. Despite not being a huge Mario game lover, this game feels very familiar to me.

    - Pokepark
It was my favorite game on the wii. Seeing a different take on Pokemon was very good! I liked the different Pokemon themed location a a lot and the mini games were very fun!

[PokeCommunity.com] Fond memories of the past

Forgot to respond earlier! So you're getting this reply now. This is such a nice thread idea, thank you!

So a few years ago I took it upon myself to play games I've known about from my childhood and never got the chance to actually finish firsthand. It included stuff like Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Metroid Prime, Pikmin 2, and Super Mario Galaxy. They're all games I grew up watching other people play and really loved, and sorta shaped my childhood or early teen years in a way. So I have both fond memories of those games from the past and fond memories of the (at least fairly recent) present. It's something I recommend anyone try out!

But there are also games I really, really love and have ever since I was a kid. I've mentioned several times on PC that my favourite game is Pokemon Platinum, and while yes it's totally the generation I grew up with and it really got me into the series and got me to take Pokemon more "seriously" and find a bigger enjoyment in it rather than "this thing is cool", it's also the thing I would always go to whenever I was struggling with depression or things were going really wrong in my life. When things were rough in my childhood it was playing Platinum that got me through a lot of it and helped me be okay. It's something that's always been there for me and I don't really think there's any other piece of media in the world that I could feel the same way about.

Another example that comes to mind is Kirby Super Star Ultra, because it's the first game I ever owned and it sorta taught me what actually playing a video game meant. It's one of those things that really pushed me down the path of life that I'm on now and whenever I decide to go back to it it's hard to not think about how I was sitting on the couch playing it as a kid thinking "Man this is hard" or being really proud of myself for getting through a level or something. Nowadays it's the kind of thing I can just comfortably fall back into because I'm so familiar with it, and I have fond memories of recording my times in stuff like the Arena and beating my friends at it.

And yes, it wasn't when I was a kid, and it's a strange answer for probably anyone but me to give, but this is another excuse I have to mention Love Live School Idol Festival All Stars because it's a game I absolutely fell in love with when it came out, and I have so many good memories around the time it came out (having graduated high school, moving out of a house I felt depressed in for years, the springtime season meaning weather was warming up) that I directly associate with that game. It not only really helped boost my passion for Love Live in general but really gave me something to be happy about and to be excited to get up and out of bed in the morning and really devote myself to something I loved.
