    One of the upcoming features of Sun & Moon is the ability to transfer Pokemon from the Virtual Console versions of Red, Blue, and Yellow to the new games. Source.

    Is anyone planning on doing this? Which members of your 1st generation teams are you definitely going to make sure to transfer? Do you think we will be able to transfer glitched Pokemon, such as Mew?
     
    Can't wait to transfer a Fissure Machamp and then see if it'll give me the ability No Guard. :3
     
    One of the main reasons why I bought Yellow from the eShop was to do this. It will make filling up the Alola Pokedex so much easier, atleast the Kanto portion anyway.
     
    I'm wondering if Pokémon from RBY who had their typings changed in later gens will retain their original typings for Sun and Moon according to one of the leaks.

    I originally thought that would be a ridiculous way to do things.
    But then Alola forms happened.
    So maybe Pokémon with Gen 1 typings would be like "Kanto forms". Though, without the physical differences Alolan forms have.

    Maybe they'll be Old Kanto forms. Zinnia brought up alternate dimensions, so that could be used to explain the differences, aka. Fairy never existed in the Gen I-II, and Gen III-V timelines. Only issue will be Magneton's line. Since Gen II existed in the Gen I timeline. I guess they could make it the only exception.

    This is really interesting! I actually never thought of this. They could totally come from an alternate dimension as their explanation. That seems pretty cool.
