I can't hide the fact that Nidoking is my favourite pokemon, and I like Nidoqueen too.
Having said this, I still think their stats and abilities should be reworked. What about you? Do you like the nido line? Do you think they should get a buff, or are you satisfied with how they are?
Here's my detailed opinion:
Anyhow, this is all just my opinion. I do love the nido evolutionary line, but by making this thread I've tried to be the less biased I possibly can be, and provide a reasonable argument.

Spoiler:
I think gamefreak hasn't made the poison type any justice, from gen 1 to gen 6. Even with the addition of the fairy type, they are still fairly weak compared to other types, both in base stats and offensive capabilities. But poison is a good defensive type nonetheless.
Don't get me wrong, Nidoking is undoubtedly one of the best poison types, his movepool is vast: no matter what type the opponent is, he is going to hit it hard, thanks to his hidden ability.
The thing is, I find the way gamefreak designed Nidoking and Nidoqueen disappointing.
Even though in the anime and manga they have been depicted as incredibly strong, vicious and big in size, in the games they are midgets with weak stats, only saved by their hidden ability and vast movepool. This is especially apparent in the games utilizing 3d, like colosseum and xy. Midgets!! That is so unjust.
In my opinion, they should be pseudo-legendaries. Nidoking definitely looks like he could boast a 135 base attack stat, and Nidoqeen, being the more defensive one, could have a slight boost to her defenses along with 120 base HP or so. Their abilities could reflect more their offensive/defensive natures instead of being the same. Nidoking, with a base 135 stat could throw away sheer force and get something else. Nidoqueen could get a defensive ability.
