    I have to say, this is amazing. I just watched the hour long video on it, it's amazing.

    I cant really find anything better than the word "amazing" to describe it. Revolutionary? So simple yet necessary you wonder why it is not already in existence?

    I have not used it yet, however I requested an invitation. : 3

    I received an invite a few weeks ago (a few days after the beta went live, iirc) but only used it for the first time today. It's horrible on my netbook--when just my friend and I were typing in the same wave, it lagged my netbook horribly and it was quickly impossible to use because of the sheer lack of screen size.

    :( I realize I wasn't using the ideal configuration for it, and wouldn't mind trying it again on a better computer, but my first impression of it was pretty horrible. I'm just not sure I see the point, personally.

    I was planning on using it to collaborate on a database project, but then we just used Google Docs instead. :/ I don't see the point past that.

    I'm not even entirely sure what it is..

    -Googles it- >_>;

    . . . . .

    Hmm.. back in my day, we'd use a telephone, paper, and a pencil for when we wanted to achieve those types of things. Or, if we wanted to ask multiple people at once, we'd three or four way call. :D

    But who wants to actually hear their friends voices, when they could just type over the internet? > >;

    Also, don't they already have Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, and MSN for all that?

    Anyway, as for my positive opinion.. it looks like it could be fun in a way to try with some friends, but it doesn't look like anything too special to me at this point. I'll look into it more. Maybe I've missed something?

    I know with group projects, I we just send the file back and forth across MSN, making changes. My friends put down what they're trying to say and I make it sound fancy.

    Sent a message to Google that went like this, begging to activate my gmail account for wave.
    I love your products, and I'll love you even more if you give me a peek at this >_<

    A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
    A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.
    A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

    Yeah... This seems very much like something from the 90s. Nice idea but inconvenient when we're already comfortable with what means we possess anyway.

    I got accepted from a nice friend on Socialist forum! :D

    Moriarty, you are supposed to collaborate with people on projects, which is pretty hard when not everyone has access to it yet :X

    It is nice. I have an active Google Wave account and a few invites left too. We should start an invite thread for Google Wave and get a wave for PC going. :P (Perhaps we could sweet talk an admin into embedding a wave into a post on a pinned thread?)

    I really like the idea of this. In fact, I've requested an invite from Google Wave and I can't wait to try it out.

    I have some invites if anyone wants them. It's pretty fun up until a wave gets full and no one deletes the old posts. D: That causes some serious lag and crashing issues when the waves get really large.
