I have tons of guys who are good friends, but never had a boyfriend. Never been interested. I personally think it's much more fun to just be able to relax and enjoy myself with all my friends without worrying about all the dating drama. <3

I think it's kind of silly for anyone under 16 to really date, since they can't drive themselves around, therefore have an escort for at least part of the time. Granted, I'm sure it's different in places where kids can walk around more, but meh. Most kids don't walk on their own around here because the crazy drivers would likely run them over. No joke, sadly. I saw a woman reading a thick novel while driving the other day.

I'm not exactly a looker, and the fact that I refuse to talk to people who like anime outside of anime club and the fact that I even go to anime club takes me a few notches down in everyone's books. But honestly, at my age, I think dating, boyfriends, and girlfriends, those things are more for show then anything else.

I'm the type who ends up being friends with all the ideal guys, but ends up getting to know them enough so that I'd never want to date them and they'd never want to date me. xD

But it's not an issue I stress over. There are a lot of guys I've liked whom I'd NEVER want to spend the rest of my life with, let alone a week or so. It's just fun gossip.

Nah. >_o; There have been times when freaky guys have asked me out and stuff, but... I'm not into dating, even if it's between two adults. I know it sounds weird, but I've talked to my mom about this and read opinions from other Christians, and have decided that friendship is as far as I want to go with a guy until I get married. I have nothing against people who want to date--if they can control theirselves without going any further than kissing then they've got the green light from me--but I'm personally not interested. I'd rather spend my time building a strong friendship with a guy, without all of the physical stuff, because that's going to be one of the only things keeping us together after we're married for a few years and the new-ness wears off. xD

I also think that it would be awkward to have kissed another guy other than the one that I end up getting married to... so that's why I'm glad I haven't gone through boyfriends like they're no big deal, unlike some people I know. And on another note, you can learn everything you need to know about the person when you're just friends. The other stuff should wait for marriage, in my opinion.

I do agree that having a strong friendship before actually becoming BF/GF is a good way to keep the relationship together. That's why I forge a friendship first then maybe if she's really my type I'll try to see if she's interested in me. While I think that hugging, kissing and handholding is perfectly ok for dating couples I do feel that there are certain things that should wait until marriage.

But so far every girl I've befriended IRL turned out to be taken. On the bright side, they did say if they werent in love with another guy they'd take me in a minute. ^^
I may be really slow at getting the point where I'd feel comfortable asking a girl out but I think that the friendship is wayyy more important than any male/female relationship.

Ugh, I have no girlfriend. It always strikes me as such a blow to say that, but it's the truth. And I haven't ever had one either.

I don't know, probably just my lack of confidence in confronting them. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm just not that great with the ladies. It's not even that I think I'm bad looking or anything, or that I don't have any friends that are girls, I just for whatever reason can't muster up the confidence to ask a girl that I really like out. Just how it is sometimes I guess. But it's whatever, I know at some point I'll finally muster up the confidence. Just hope it's before I have to go to college...
