It's been a while since I've been on here. You've been quite hard at work I see ;) your pixel art has definitly gotten much better...we have to to put lance in the game for sure by the way, he looks better and better each time! If you're having shading troubles, I could be of some asistance, I mean my fakemon and Shading aren't the best but they get by...just let me know ;)

Excellent job on these! The sense of depth is really nice and the shading is smooth as butter. Yellow had one of the coolest Gyarados poses, and you really made it pop! Only crit I have is that the little white bits at the very end of the tail could use some sort of outline. Also, the eyelids kinda make Gyara look sleepy, or like he's gonna sneeze. XD

I browsed through this thread, and my goodness, you've been hard at work with improvements! No wonder you gave me such a nice crit on my thread. Awesome work! :3

Anyhow, thankyou! I appreciate you thoughts! I have been looking at my recolor and have also come to the conclusion that he looks sleppy... but since that is how the original sprite looked...i really couldn't change it too much...

as for the white, i am also now noticing that, since you said it... i will go back and fix that!

yeah, i know... i am currently fixing that little problem... i did not realize that it looked so funny until after the animation was complete and running...

thanks though! i appreciate the feedback! Does anyone know of a free online animation creator that takes png's and turns them into an animation? the one i used only takes gif's and it distorts my pictures...a bit unfortunate...

This is quite detailed for a small piece, but the detail isn't all that apparent unless you zoom in. The shading seems a little too subtle, especially on the grass and trees. The grass just looks like a solid color unless you zoom in and pay close attention.​

Also, the swamp or whatever that yellow-green stuff is seems.. oddly shaded. It's a bunch of random dots that don't seem to make any sense. Still, it's a good piece of pixel art.​

as for the shading, i understand completely what you mean. i wanted a "flat" look though, to contrast with the swamp and the muk... maybe it was to flat...​

as for the swamp, it was supposed to be that mossy stuff... like duckweed... but still, even the duck weed has a shade variation...​

Introducing my newest fakemon!!!!! Laplit!

Laplit (Shy Shell Pokemon)
Height: 2'11"
Weight: 145 lbs

Laplit, the prevolutionary form of Lapras, is quite a shy pokemon.
These water bound pokemon stick close to their mothers for comfort
since they are still young and are easily startled.
