@Marauding Master: I don't know how to rate as I'm a beginner but I admire you graphics~ =]

I made some more~

Thanks. And as far as your signature is concerned. For a beginner, you're pretty good. Try blending the character more in though. Try changing the hue to the color of your background. then duplicate your render's layer and apply some motion blurs or other effects. Set blending mode to whatever looks good to give a more blended approach. Try a smaller size too. It's pretty big in height.

Ryouki; xD Following advice is the only way to get better~ Besides, you're not bad at graphics, and everyone can learn something from everyone~

Hm, to be honest, I like the first one better then the second one. Like MM said, the light source is off. xD;; But not only that, but the second one's focus is all over the place. I think you should've stuck to the clipping mask on the lower right hand corner, and that clipping mask only. It's a nice image/render, I've used it before too. xD It's interesting to see it in a banner that isn't something that looks like I might've made in MSPaint. *shot'd*

The first one I like because of the different colors, but the reflection image's opacity could be lowered a bit. The brush used on the reflection is really cool though~ And the effect on the Heartless' eyes that the gradient map or whatever you used is awesome!

Marauding Master;; Wellll... I can certainly tell that you use the black and white radial gradient a lot. xD Where to begin… It doesn't fit very well on the first one. Dx It might just be my opinion, but maybe you could've used the burn too on the very very edges, so it wouldn't be so obvious that you used a radial gradient. :/ And the canvassed style render has always been a pet peeve of mine, though it's utilized nicely. xD; I've just hated it since the beginning of time. The glow on the text isn't my favorite either, but the positioning would be awesome if the glow didn't seem so unnatural. It was probably for effect, but I don't really like how the skeleton's face is at the very bottom of the banner, either. I can't decide whether the skeleton is the focus, or the white light at the top is the focus. But with the gradient, I can't decide whether you were trying to show off the background that's sorta-kinda visible. xD;

I like the second one much better though, even though I can't read half of the text, nor can I really tell what the render is. The light source is awesome in this one, and the brushing is nice. The shadow is really cool as well.

I should probably do some rating, rather then just commenting. =A=;;

The second one is the one you want rated, right?

In that case, it's alright but some errors:

The lightsource is way, way, way off. That is not where the light is falling on the render. It should be at the upperleft of the render.
Multiple use of same render, I don't like it but it may just be a style thing
The test is too plain and simple and it doesn't compliment on the work at all. Try blending it in, try different colors and fonts. Nice typography and text utilization is one of the hardest things when it comes to designing so find your own style.
i know, I suck at lightsources ;; also, I don't think that I can blend that well..Anyways thanks for the comments
I tried blending but I suck.....

Actually, I think the banner is pretty plain..i dunno why, I think add some Clipping Mask...or anything that doesn't make it look so plain, also..i think the size you should make it a bit smaller.

hm, Okay then...I'll try to make the focus on one place then, xD

Yeah, I don't like at all how the first one worked out. I do like the second one though. It's from a Yu-Gi-Oh card so it's just a monster. Same for the rest of my renders.

No offense but seriously,you always seem to add the word 'plain' when you rate the banners. O.o So, try pointing out which part and why before just typing 'i dunno why'. Or you mean I should add some reflections like yours to fill up the space? I'll try it.

No offence but actually, I only say Plain because it's like Plain, I agree with MM: Make your banner more interesting, Some Clippingmaks will do or Some Opacity Change.

Shika-kun;; I think what they mean by plain is the monotone colors in the background. It could be that you were trying to bring the focus more onto the render, or maybe trying to give it a metallic look, but it could've been done with more interesting brushes, like abstract ones, or maybe a c4d. The blending is alright, maybe try making the blur less wide, and using a soft brush to erase the edges of the render on top of the blending layer. The text goes nicely with the background, and the font is alright. The size bothers me as well, but I make big banners too, so I guess I can't say anything about that. xD

It's not a bad work though, it just needs something extra to give it a bang. ^^

Thank you. If you could link me to the tutorial you used, that would be cool. I love seeing new styles and trying them out. As for your current signature, I don't like it near enough as your last one for a few points.

The characters aren't blended in enough. You should try duplicating their layers and applying filters, then setting them to whatever blending mode that looks good with it.
The light source isn't very believable. Try adding a black and white radial gradient at the same spot as your light source, then setting them to a blending mode that accompanies the lighteffect. Reduce the opacity of your light source if you have to.
Try to desaturate the renders a little bit, and maybe desaturate the entire work a little(Maybe -20) as well(Make a new layer, then go to image > apply image to have a new layer with all your stuff on one layer.).

Hope I make sense and hope it helps. I still like it, though. 6.5/10.

Sawyer
I'm not that interested in c4d abstracts and I honestly don't see the beauty in this work either. It looks very empty and hallow, and I don't see any depth in it at alll. That just might be me though. 6.5/10 for it.

it's not c4d... it's called gradients in illustrator, you might not have heard of it. :)

And before you yell at me for what you think is c4d, there is NO artificial 3D-processed imaging in this one, only the products of Adobe Illustrator.

This tag is sort of made by the stock... if it weren't for the stock, it would be really boring. Try doing more of the work yourself, rather than just pasting a stock onto a messy grunge canvas.

Marauding Master - these are both far too grainy... also, far too similar. Their concepts are nice and fitting for the stocks, but you should strive to execute your tags using different features. Keep in mind that a blurry tag is bad, but an over-sharpened tag is even worse.

You mean the render? Uh, I won't use it if I could find the original pic :\

@mizzy-chan: May be,I just love that kind of colors 8D... and I like focusing the render but not that much, it was just that i can't blend xD

EDIT

Did I really do this blurry bright color banner? xD

Hmm No rating posts.
Just posting wanting people to rate..

Shika-kun; Hmm, no rates today. ;3 Except for: omg so desaturated lol. Not enough color, but background from what I can see is awesome. (Text, not so much.)

Ryouki; Ohhhh. :O I like the Battle Ready one! The render is really cool, the image is blended well, and I love the mosaic on top of the reflection! <33 The text sticks out just a little too much, and the font bothers me still, but it's definitely better than last time! Great job on this one Ryouki! 9/10

Black Catttt~ I can't say I really like that render of Train. It's kind of over contrasted. The text is definitely not quite as matching in this banner as compared to the Battle Ready one, and the brushing/whatever on top of the reflection isn't very good. Perhaps try to lower the opacity of your reflections even more? I dunno, there's something that I don't really like about it, but because I'm lazy and don't want to choose a number, I won't rate this one, just comments. xD; Sorry~

Anyway, this be the banner I made for Musashi-kun, since he requested after seeing the banner I made for Drummershuff.

[PokeCommunity.com] Graphic Rating Thread

I know. It's empty on the left side, but the text I tried looked kind of fugly. <_< I might take another shot at it when I'm not dead tired. *shrug* I tried to make the lightsource a bit more convincing this time around. ^^;;

@мızυκı: Thanks, I did a pretty good job on that banner rgiht? -pats myself on the back-
At the BlackCat? Meh, I'll render a picture of train Myself...then, I'll blend something that goes with black.

The banner is pretty good actually, the only problem is, I think you should have put the image on the center, not the right...
How about This banner? I render it myself..

What'cha guys think?

@ Mizuki: 9/10 I must say very well done, little mich on the splatter, but ok nonetheless. very well blended, guessing a mosic filter and mask combo. oeverall very well done.

Just thought I'd stick something in here to see what you think of this kind of picture and to see if I could get some pointers from some people.
