1. Since White isn't even out for everyone yet, an ultimate, right now, consists of doing a game that was in each region, so that'd be Green/LeafGreen, Gold, Emerald, and then HeartGold (this will count as gen IV since DPPt aren't involved in this challenge). If you have White or a White ROM, then I recommend adding that in.

2. HeartGold counts as gen IV.

3. We're all getting the same emblem as it stands.

Eternal Emerald! - Update #1

Just trying to pull the squad together right now, I have a vague idea of my team, but we'll see! It's ambitious, since it includes shiny hunting, and until I find that Tailow, I can't move on! A little level grinding for Crayon & Lotad will also be in the mix when doing so however. But so far, it's been an eventful few hours, with only a little false luck :<

Not an official update, but after many hours, and a little luck, I managed to do this...

Syd was there to see me spaz out, so I named it after her. I will be pushing onto Rustboro and give you guys an official update in a little while!

Sorry for the lack of updates - My Wifi's gone all screwy, so my poor laptop is having a heck of a time doing anything. SO. Started with Treecko. Caught Lotad & Shroomish early on. Lotad blew through Roxanne EASILY, not even needing help. Brawly was a little tougher, but by then Shroomish had Leech Seed & Stun Spore. Combining the two, I squeaked out a victory. I did some grinding before battling Wattson, evolving Lotad & Shroomish. He took out Lombre, but Breloom's Mach Punch saved the day! I'm now hot on the trail of Teams Magma & Aqua. :) Team: Ko the Grovyle, Lv. 27 Ro the Breloom Lv. 26 Lo the Lombre Lv. 27 Go the Zigzagoon Lv. 5

Okay let me be the first to say that I can't be bothered doing big posts this time. I will do a big one for my last though.
What I did:

• Beat the Rocket grunt in Cerulean City
• Evolved Alyselipera into Weepinbell.
• Got to Vermillion City.
• Got the Bike Voucher from the head of the Fan Club.
• Went on the SS. Anne.
• Beat my rival.
• Got HM01 from the captin.
• Went to the gym and beat Lt. Surge.
• Evolved Chaos into Venusaur.

The 'Green' Team:

Update 2

-Finished the Devon Goods thing. Pwned the Team Aqua Grunts.
-Battled the trainers North of Slateport.
-Trained Pokemon to about lvl 21 and continued heading North for Mauville.
-Battled Bredan, struggled a bit against his Combusken, but eventually won using Dustox and Confusion.
-Trained on the way to Mauville, getting team to about lvl 23-24.
-Explored the town near Mauville, talked to Wally's parents, did all those side things and then battled the trainers on either side of Mauville.
-Got Pokemon to lvl 25-26.
-Took on Wattson, losing miserably the first three times. Won him out of sheer luck after stocking up on Super Potions and Paralyze Heals.
-Shouted in joy at the win.
-Continued North.
-Trained team to lvl 28.

Just started a few minutes ago.

I'll be using LeafGreen.

The name I'll be playing as is "Dewgong" and the rival is named "Crimgan". I picked a Bulbasaur as a starter - and it was a female on first try, too! I named that Bulbasaur "Dove". I left Pallet Town just then, let's see what awaits me. :D

Currently training in the desert, I will have Larry evolve before Norman. I will. Cause that gym...is a pain. Thank goodness the sea routes will be good training for 8.07 PM since she can't do much in the desert. AND WATER STONE SOON OMG.

Also going to enter this on Gold. Will be emulating it though, and hacking in a Larvitar, and later a Politoed. I have no patience to get a new emulator and trade with them and do all that. v_v

Ran into a slight problem with trading Scyther over- it didn't work. Got an error message, and I have no idea where to find wild pokemon data in the ROM, so it looks like I will be continuing with dos Weepinbells/Victreebels...

Chapter 2: The Saga Continues​

We begin this update with this:​

Now that I have you attention, let's continue... But seriously, who designed the Ekans sprite? It looks like They photoshopped Psyduck's head onto Ekans' body... When I got to Mt. Moon, I soon discovered a slight problem with the translation.​

Don't remember which one I picked... But after that, Fuji learned the most bestest attack ever.​

Attacks of the lawn mowers! My first Bellsprout also evolved while I was grinding endlessly.​

Oh and in case you missed my username... (Btw the ROM crashed almost right after this)​

I got a wicked looking Venusaur too :P​

And ended off with destroying Surge. Those electric locks are made so much easier with savestates :)​

Also: Anyone have any good moveset ideas for mah Weeps? I don't want them to have all the same moves, but I'm starting to love gen I Wrap :)​

• Got my Chikorita, named him Dippy.
• Got my Map Card from the old man in Cherrygrove.
• Went to Mr. Pokemon's house and got my Pokedex from Prof. Oak.
• Battled my rival on the way back to New Bark Town.
• Named my rival Silver. (Creativity everywhere!)
• Went ahead and hacked in my other team members, all at level 2.
• Nicknamed everyone. Chips the Larvitar, Syrup the Politoed and Lime the Natu.
• Leveled my new team members up to around level 8. Dippy currently at level 12.
• Went to Violet City, went through Sprout Tower to get Flash, then conquered Falkner's Gym.
• Got the Egg from Elm's Assistant and headed towards Union Cave.
• Dippy evolved into Bayleef.
• Cleared Team Rocket out of Slowpoke Well, then went to take on the Gym.
• Lime destroyed everything in Bugsy's Gym. (Woo, Peck!)
• Defeated Silver, went to the Ilex Forest and got Cut.
• Caught an Oddish (Shrubby), taught it Cut and went through the forest to Goldenrod City.
• Got the Radio Card, beat up on some of Whitney's underlings.
• End of the first update.

Plus another Bellsprout that knows Cut, and a filler Caterpie. Beat Brock and Misty by just attacking once. Right now grinding and raising defences enough so I can take on Surge. I think that's all of importance --oh, and battling trainers with stun spore/supersonic, omg is terrible. Though now I use leech seed and poisonpowder to my advantage. Also, Metapod gets a lot of critical hits.

I'll join, so I have something to do until Black comes out on Sunday.
I'll be playing Green and my team will be Venusaur, Scyther, and Victreebell.

I started a couple minutes ago.
- Named my character RED and rival BLUE (original, I know.)
- Picked Bulbasaur
- Grinded Bulbasaur to level 10 on Route 1, like I do on every game.
- Got Oak's Parcel/Pokedex
- Used gameshark code to catch a level 3 Scyther on Route 1 (hope that's okay. I only used the code to make it appear.)
- Currently grinding Scyther on Route 1.


Is there a site that translates the attacks a little better? I'd hate to get rid of a good move for something terrible that I don't know what it is.

Yeah, basically beat the game. Not much to say here, so here are some screens. (I forgot to take one when battling Sabrina. D:)

- Ivysaur evolves! :D

- Weepinbell is allowed to evolve after learning Razor Leaf.

- I had to do so much training to get my levels this high. I trained everyone to about level 65 for the League, so I wouldn't have any problems. Although, I soon found out that it wasn't necessary, because Swords Dance on a Scyther can destroy everything. Oh well. xD

Final Update - Gold

Spoiler:

• Beat Whitney and her evil Miltank fairly easily, thanks to Syrup's Perish Song.
• Bought a TM and taught Syrup Ice Punch.
• Got the Bicycle and the Squirtbottle, defeated Sudowoodo and headed to Ecruteak City.
• Battled the Kimono Girls and got Surf, then taught it to Syrup.
• Went to the Ecruteak Gym and defeated Morty with a combination of Perish Song and Bite.
• Decided to take a quick detour to the Lake of Rage and catch the red Gyarados (Sparkles) for more HM fun.
• Went back to Ecruteak, battled Silver at the Burned Tower and released the dogs.
• Backtracked even more. Traded the Red Scale to Mr. Pokemon for an Exp. Share and showed Togepi to Elm for an Everstone.
• Dumped Togepi in the PC and headed towards Olivine City.
• On my way to the top of the Lighthouse Lime evolved into Xatu (yay).
• Went back down, got the Strength HM from the guy at the restaurant and taught it to Sparkles.
• Surfed over to Cianwood, got the Secretpotion and battled Chuck. Beat him easily thanks to Lime's Peck and Dippy's Razor Leaf.
• Got Fly, taught it to Lime and flew back to Olivine, gave Jasmine the Secretpotion.
• Went to battle Jasmine at the Gym. Syrup took all of her Pokemon down easily with Surf.
• Flew back to Mahogany, cleaned up the Rocket Hideout and got Whirlpool from Lance then taught it to Sparkles.
• Went to the Gym and battled Pryce. Dippy evolved into Meganium.
• Flew back to Goldenrod to deal with Team Rocket yet again. Chips evolved into Pupitar.
• Got the Basement Key, found the Director, got the Card Key and headed back to the Radio Tower to finish off Team Rocket.
• Flew back to Mahogany and went towards the Ice Path. Picked up the Waterfall HM and taught it to Sparkles.
• Made it to Blackthorn, restocked on items and headed to the Gym.
• Managed to beat Kingdra with Hypnosis and Perish Song, then went to the Dragon's Den and got the Dragon Fang.
• Went back to New Bark Town and then Surfed over to the next route.
• Battled my way through Victory Road and made it to Indigo Plateau.
• Did a bit of grinding and leveled everyone into the 50s. Chips evolved into Tyranitar.
• Stuffed Sparkles and Shrubby into the PC and went to take on the Elite Four.

Had a fairly easy time beating them all. The only one who fainted was Lime, since he got stuck in a battle with Karen's Umbreon.
