Totally, I'd take Ground over Rock any day. Especially when it comes to Gym types... I was getting a bit tired of Rock lol.
 
No Tsutaja will deal with it ;) I look forward to the Bug gym. Wonder what will make u[p the gym team.
 
Since there's so many bug-types I would have liked if the gym leader would have been around the 6th, 7th, or 8th. Third seems kinda early. Wonder what the buy guy's main pokemon is? I can see the polar bear for the Ice type and maybe Wargle for the flying type.

2nd Gym: Aloe - Normal - ????? Badge - Shippou City. All Pokemon up to Level ?? will obey.
3rd Gym: ????? - Bug - Beetle Badge - Hiun City. All Pokemon up to Level 40 will obey.
4th Gym: Kamitsure - Electric - Bolt Badge - ????? City. All Pokemon up to Level 50 will obey.
5th Gym: Yakon - Ground - Quake Badge - Hodomoe City. All Pokemon up to Level 60 will obey.

GF Won't make her have Dark types for obvious reasons.

I didn't realise the 8th Gym leader was Black. She doesn't look it from that picture with the rest of the Gym leaders on it.

Volroc labelled Aloe as a Dark type leader just because she's black, when there was absolutely nothing else to judge her typing speciality on, other than her skin colour.

I did not do that. The border surrounding the 8th Gym leader is black, which is usually the colour that represents the Dark type. That's why I thought she might be a Dark type trainer.

The border around her and the small circle next to her is Dark blue, it clearly does not look Black.

I even thought she could of had Dark types. Until everyone started making a fuss about racism.

How could you not know Iris is Black, unless your blind it's pretty obvious.
She's only like the biggest thing going on in the anime.

Before we continue the discussion elsewhere, I'd like to add this here:

That kind of Dark Blue isn't very far off Black. It still looks Black to me. And she doesn't look black in that picture. Also, I didn't even know she was a main character in the anime.

Check your vistor messages.

Haha, I also didn't noticed that Iris was black... maybe it's because in my country only people with really dark skin color are considered black, other than that they are either white or "brown" (there isn't a precise translation). I agree with Kanto_Johto. Look, the supposed to be flying gym leader have purple background, not blueish, that is the flying-type color. So why can't a gym leader with a really dark blue, almost black background have Dark types? You know it's almost black. I agree that they probably won't make her have dark types, but if they don't, then it's because people are racist and think GF would to that on purpose, not GF.

Well, most are suspecting her to have Buffalo pokemon, which I could see. It'd be sorta similar to Whitney's Miltank. She was shown to use only two pokemon. I also could see her using the dog's first stage, but Shikijika's evo would be nice too.

I can't remember where exactly where I heard this but someone said she had
a Tabunne, and the Afro bull seems to strong for a 2nd Gym leader
as someone previously stated... but I hope she has a strong Pokemon. I want this generation to have challenging Gyms and a strong E4
