6th Gen Gym Leaders and Elite Four

I hope so. Of course, the doors could lead to a central room with the remaining three doors...hopefully not though.
The rooms looks similar to the original, actually both so far do.

Yeah but they could have that be the main entrance then you enter a circle, and another, and another, until we finally arrive at Steven. But I do think the old order is back :3

Yeah I suppose. Just definitely looks like a linear system to me, the fact that we have an entrance behind the player and then a door to the next room which wasn't the case in X&Y nor Black & White. I guess we'll soon find out, but it does look very similar to the originals which is a good sign! n_n

I was apparently looking at the in-game images of Sidney and Phoebe. They have doors behind them plus it also shows Brendan having emerged from a door into their rooms:

I like the subtle addition of the chairs to the E4's rooms. Shows that they aren't just standing there all the time (that'd be tiring!), plus it could be seen as a shoutout to XY, where all the E4 had chairs of their own.

Aside this discussion, I'm loving the originality of the Elite Four. Nothing like X & Y's rooms (which were too extravagant IMO) just basic yet sleek looking just like in the originals.

I like how everything we've seen so far seems to stay true to the originals but also have a fresh look at the same time. It's like how we're seeing Hoenn get a fresh coat of paint in the form of redesigns to the various characters (except maybe Professor Birch and Phoebe since they retained their original designs) but also I love how the Gyms look even cooler now, especially Brawly's. His has to be the most drastic change so far, but there's still rumors that one with the dark basement and floating platforms could be Tate & Liza.

I also wonder if they'll retain the abilities and/or movesets from the original games. I know Wattson's Magneton had Magnet Pull but just imagine how much annoying it would become if it got Sturdy.

If Magneton got Sturdy I would ragequit; hate it so much in-game (Gen. V/VI only) 8| Unless my Pokemon has it, of course. But isn't that how it usually works? Speaking of, Roxanne's Nosepass already has Sturdy, so chances are it'll be keeping that, orz

They should give Magneton Sturdy, it would just give Wattson more of an edge which is fun to have a challenge! Otherwise it would just be too easy to take him down for players who chose Torchic. As for the rest of the Gym Leaders and Elite Four members, I assume they're going to be mixed in with next months CoroCoro issue? Or released at a later date, assuming they're returning..

Great...even with Treekco (or Mudkip) I'll probably have trouble with her Nosepass like before. Her Rock Tomb always resulted in my Pokemon's speed droping...I feel bad for those with Torchic (I battled her with one in the originals so I know how hard it is...)

I like both, so I don't have a preference either :3 Both have their benefits and drawbacks; regardless, you still have to fight four strong type specialists + the Champion without being able to use a Pokemon Center.

Watson may have a Shinx

Flannery with a Charmander

I doubt they'll give Flannery Charmander. Actually I highly doubt it'll be added to the Hoenn dex at all...even if it was it would be a Charmeleon as it's later in game so it's middle stage would be appropriate.
Staraptor isn't even a fighting type so why would Brawley even have it (plus he's the second gym leader) :/ ?
Zangoose for Norman is possible.

Also it's one Mega per trainer so Sidney is unlikely use both, well I guess he could pick which to use...but that doesn't seem too likely.

As for Gym teams, with the exception of Tate & Liza I'd prefer all the Gym Leaders keep their RS or Emerald teams. Tate & Liza I'd like to see with their Emerald team, though I'd also like Tate to have Gallade and Liza to have Gardevoir.

Since Tate & Liza do doubles, though, they'd have to have an even number of Pokemon, otherwise one would be left out. And in Emerald they did get six! GF could always go with four; that way, they could have the Kirlia evos. plus Solrock and Lunatone~

I only remember them having four during the mainstory battle...(runs off to a corner...)

I guess they could, or remove two of them to make way for them.
