    This is Anime-Wise guys ;)

Okay so, Gyms or Contests? Gym badges or Ribbons? :O

In my opinion I think even for me (a very competitive battler) I find contests more appealing and entertaining then boring old gyms... I have to admit I downloaded the japanese episode where Ash versed Volkner and I just kept skipping through the whole battle (though the bit where infernape controls Blaze was the only good bit of the battle), Don't get me wrong I do enjoy alot of battles just quite alot of gym battles are getting boring, though im happy to say the sinnoh league battles have been great! But when I watch a contest im always stuck to the screen staring at the moves XDXD!

Gym, lol. I'd rather battle and win by default K.O, than just fooling around with good looking moves (Personally If I were in contests, I would try to present very good to get to next round and then eliminate everyone by default K.O, but I still think that Gym Battles are more awesome). Gym battles gives you chance to present on Conference and maybe later to be even a Champion, which is waay more popular than being Top-Coordinator imo.

Not exactly true. I mean if you look at Wallace from earlier on in the DP series it goes to show that being a top coordinator comes with its own fame just as much as it does with being a Pokémon Champion. Plus, who's to say you couldn't compete for both after awhile. In my opinion, it takes a great trainer to become a great coordinator and a great inner sense of coordinating style to become a great trainer. So it works both ways.

Before AG, it was always gym battles and Pokémon Leagues for me. Then again, that's all they ever gave us. After seeing May perform in contests though, I just grew this strong liking for it and have been a stronger fan of it since. There's just so much you can explore into it than there is with gym battles which are more straight out. However, if you gave me the chance to do either one, I'd probably enjoy competing in both, like Nando. Though, I'd expect to do better than he did in someways.

Right. But that was only my point of view on this.
Anyway, I don't personally think I would take a part in Gyms and Contests, as well. Being N1 tier Coordinator and N1 tier Trainer is extremely hard I guess. No free time, no private time, always in a rush...

I like the appeals of the contest but nothing beats a gym battle. Especially when Ash is the one battling because it's always a struggle and you just never know if he'll win or not.

Eventually he will, but for that match he might not (then he'd go back and fight again)

I'd have to say I enjoy contests more at this point. It's something new and deviates from the old Team Rocket-Team Rocket-Team Rocket-Gym Battle-Team Rocket plotline... which was getting a bit boring.
And really, how many gyms are actually that different from others? Ash doesn't have to solve a new puzzle to get to the leader, he just wanders in and yells tell someone battles with him. With contests, there are nearly unlimited amounts of moves and Pokémon that can be used to create amazing and unique shows.

    Contests are teh win~

Gyms. It's been a classic ever since the series started. It's also a lot more rewarding. Like said before, being the champion is way more well known than being Top-Coordinator. Plus, Gyms don't need to be judged, which means that you can't be going on someone's opinion. You go by the first Pokemon who faints.

I've always loved gyms from the start but AG contests were a heck of lot fun. But in D/P contests went down, so I loved gyms even more so now than ever, so yah I choose gyms.

Gyms...I have a deep hatred for contests...I'm not trying to troll or anything, but the contests were one of the reasons I stopped watching Pokemon...The focus went from being centered around Ash and him becoming a Pokemon Master to May and Dawn having contests...May's character was okay, but I can't stand Dawn so she didn't do much to help my opinion on contests.

Contests, because of the creative way they use moves. I wish we could do that in the games. I wouldn't mind making me own Ice Chandelier xD

obviously a gym because the contest pokemon put him to entertain the guest of Ash, and I really like but the Gyms that seem a little simple but taste better as your true power.
