Happy Australia Day! (January 26th 2011!)

    Today, January 26th (for Australians) is Australia Day - a day to "celebrate what's great". This date marks when the first non-indigenous people arrived at Australia (back when we were known as convicts!) From 1994 onwards, this has been a public holiday for all states, where we throw a shrimp on the bbq, watch fireworks, have a day off from work and for some become citizens of Australia. Also, around the time of Australia Day, the Australian of the year is announced, which can be read about here.

    Are u australian as well? I love australia. I don't have to go to school today because of Australia Day! Im playing AFl on the park fields

    Nice weather today for a bbq and trip to the beach here, so it's been a pretty good day. =D

    I'm about to eat a BBQ right now actually.

    I wish I was at Bondi Beach, they had like thousands of inflatable thongs in the water lol XD

    AND WOO KIM CLIJSTERS IS IN THE SEMIS OF THE OPEN!
     
    Been working at a cafe/restaurant the whole day and its been packed from all the people celebrating on the main street of the town where I live. Unfortunately I'm buggered cause I didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm going to have a quiet night in. No barbecue either, I'm very disappointed.

    Happy birthday to you guys ! (: I feel kinda weird since... 26th of January is the birthday of a big and bad dictator from Romania... o_o
     
    So we finish watching The Green Hornet (which was alright, good entertainment really) and we need to decide on what to do for dinner? BBQ time, here we come! Hopefully the pool is warm too, a swim could me some serious good right about now...
