Harry Potter chat

My favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher has been Mad-eye.
 
Lupin was the best teacher; he really was. <3 I wish he'd come back but, alas, he's off doing work for the Order and the parents wouldn't have it. ;_;

I think the Half-Blood Prince is a reference to either Harry or Voldemort, personally. Like, they may not literally be princes, but they are the most prominant half-bloods there are, don't you think? o_O
 
yeah ive got a reserve too, cant wait for it, im gonna cancel the dys plans to read it, shouldnt take me more then half hour ^^
 
*raises eyebrow* Half an hour to read the book? =P You've got to be kidding me.

I don't have it on reserve... but we've never had a problem obtaining the book before (my mom gets up really early and waits in line at the store), so I'm none too worried. I... don't think I have any plans around that time and even if I do, they can't be too important, so I'll likely spend the day in bed reading it like I did with the previous book. ^^;
 
well, 2 kids read hp 5 to set the record for bloomsary, they read the 5th in 7hours, i read them all in a week. hp1-4 in a day, hp5 just over a day
 
Now I'm going to tell you more rumours of HBP
so... here it is:
-It's going to be a graveyard in the book, maybe were HP parents are buried and maybe is something written on HP's mother gravestone.
-Victor Krum could become the next "informant" in Voldemort's circle of Death Eaters.
-Luna is going to be a important character.
-maybe Sirius and Snape were in love with a women and fought over.
-Hagrid will come back to Hogwarts as a student to help keep an eye on Harry.
-Maybe harry can contact with sirius.
-Dumbledore will sacrifice himself in the book to try to save Harry.
-Harry Tells About the Prophecy in the Half Blood Prince to ron and hermione.
-one of the twins -Fred and George- maybe is going to die.

Ok that's all for now, and don't forget that they are only rumours so... don't take them to serious, ok?

Im surprised no one is commenting on the new book cover. I think the pensieve Dumbledore and Harry is going to be extremely crucial with the Half Blood Prince. Who do I think the Half Blood Prince will be? Some one completely new. In each of the books so far, the title referred to something we didn't hear about before (although, we do hear briefly from Sirius in Book 1) Wait...there goes my theory. But either way I still think the Half Blood Prince will be someone new and someone dead. I think he's actually going to be one of the greatest wizards of all time (perhaps Grodric Gryffindor, okay Im contradicting myself again!) and he was a major player in the downfall of an extremely dark wizard (Perhaps, Salazar Slytherin himself?) And I believe the Pensieve shows the memories of the half blood prince and it will give Harry knowledge on how to defeat Lord Voldemort. What do you guys think about that theory?


To read the book in half an hour is like averaging 1.7 page every three seconds. Props to anyone who manages to do that! I personalyl can do it in a little over a day.

What did you guys think of Prisoner of Azkaban Movie? I was really dissapointed because it was so rushed and so many scenes were taken out and if you didnt read the book, you would be extremely confused. But I did adore the climax scene, I thought it was done extremely wonderfully.

Also, Harry Potter's Cyber Fan forgot to mention ONE thing. She sorta treaded around it.

Something small that Harry discovered in COS will be important in HBP. I really have no clue, taking a wild guess I would say that its Godric Gryffindors sword (which goes along with my Gryffindor Half Blood Prince theory)
 
About your theory, I think you're right. I read in a site that maybe the half blood prince is godric grinfidor. I said in other posts that It was a connection with the 2? book, well... your theory made me think that maybe that connection was the sword or the Diary... I mean maybe he will see godric grinfidor travelling over time with a diary, like he did with the diary of tom.
But I read in other site that the big connection was the hand of glory, but I don't see what connection it has with the HBP, what do you think?

About the film, I agree with you It was very confuse, spicily to people that didn?t read the book because they cut many parts that in may opinion were very important to the film.
 
but the hand it?s called "hand of glory" but what glory?, that mad me think... that maybe is the hand that defied some dark wizard,... but if it is a good hand what is doing in a place like that, where only dark things are salt? :confused:
