Hey anyone got the 6th book of Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince?

Same here! :D *does the boogie-woogie, cartwheels around the room, and starts walking up the walls* Yahoo! Harry's coming out on Saturday, Harry's coming out on Saturday! And my mom says I can read the book first! Hurry up, next four days! HURRY UP!!! *jumps up and down in a mix of anxiety and excitement*
 
I like Harry Potter kinda. I read books 1 through 4 but I have gotten out of it. But still plan on seeing the movies even thoguht they are not going to be as good now that Chris Colombus is not the directior anymore.

And I believe the Pensieve shows the memories of the half blood prince and it will give Harry knowledge on how to defeat Lord Voldemort. What do you guys think about that theory.

No where has it been stated that the bowl on the cover of the US cover was a Pensieve. It could infact just be a basin for making potions. Which could
explain why there is a tattered book of Advanced Potion Making on the cover of the adult edition. Though I myself do think it is a Pensieve, I guess we won't know until it is released.

HBP is out! YAY! Has anyone else read it yet? I finished it on Sunday, and am reading it again. XD. I loved it, but *sniff* I'm really sad that Dumbledore died. *cries* I suppose it was necessary though, for we all know Harry has to finish this alone. But still... :'(

Yep. Just finished it too. Took me 2 days (or rather 9 hours spread over 2 days). I started last night and jsut finished over an hour ago. Any idea on what the name mentioned in the locket is?
 
I finished the book Sunday also. Demonchaos I have no idea who it was who wrote the note in the locket. Hopefully that will be revealed, and it's meaning, in the last book.
 
People will probably start talking about it by Friday. Once people finish the book, they'll all be curious about the name.
 
well I finished the book o0;; on the first day...It ROCKED! ^^ shorter than I had hoped for, and pretty surprising, although one of the biggest surprises is within the first few chapters...o0;; has anyone else finished?
 
Well, at least there's a new Potions Master-that E OWL Harry got wasn't wasted.
 
ahh HP6 was a good book. the ending was a bit disapointing though. are we allowed to discuss the ending? or are we holding off for a bit as to not ruin it for people? anyway... i got it in oxford at midnight. it was cool because i got it 8 hours before all of my friends back in california. mwahaha. i don't like snape...

You go ONE of the below statements right

Now I'm going to tell you more rumours of HBP
so... here it is:
-It's going to be a graveyard in the book, maybe were HP parents are buried and maybe is something written on HP's mother gravestone.
-Victor Krum could become the next "informant" in Voldemort's circle of Death Eaters.
-Luna is going to be a important character.
-maybe Sirius and Snape were in love with a women and fought over.
-Hagrid will come back to Hogwarts as a student to help keep an eye on Harry.
-Maybe harry can contact with sirius.
-Dumbledore will sacrifice himself in the book to try to save Harry.
-Harry Tells About the Prophecy in the Half Blood Prince to ron and hermione.
-one of the twins -Fred and George- maybe is going to die.

I'm pretty sure we can discuss the ending. I guess as long as we state that there are spoilers in our post. I finished the book Sunday the 17th. I got mine at exactly 12:03 a.m. on Saturday the 16th. Personally I was shocked with the ending, I had heard rumors that Dumbledore might die but I never believed them. You can bet I read the lines...

Snape raised his wand and pointed it directly at Dumbledore.
"Avada Kedavra"
A jet of green light shot from the end of Snape's wand and hit Dumbledore squarely in the chest.

...over and over.

In my opinion Half-Blood Prince is my favorite next to Goblet of Fire (I loved that book.) HBP was so much darker than the others in my opinion.
