Has a forum been too strict, like making infractions for people who say "thanks" without a warning or posting things only semi-important?

    Yea

    www.Pojo.com

I dedicated almost a year to that site, and im banned,

On another forum I'm on, I used to be too scared to post new threads for fear it would go to the trash forum, or post in debates for fear that I'd have an idiot made of me for my own opinion. But I'm over that now. ;p

Well, Bulbagarden forums can be fairly strict, but that's mostly because the mods are idiots. Other than that, no. The forums I go to are quite lenient.

All of the forums I peruse are totally laid back. Aaroninjapan, militarytuners, evolutionm, and of course, 4chan.

At ZeldaUniverse, I got bad mouthed for making a stupid thread in the stupid thread section.
PC's always been nice to me (except the time I got the tempaban haha) XD

    One Word:

    "Serebii"

Not many could agree with me, but years ago I wasn't too satisfactory for the mods. I tried again a few months ago and the place was all boring and very tight on the rules.

At least here we have the ability to have custom avatars. :\.

After seeing the Game Hardware board on 2ch during the Great Console Wars, I've pretty much become desensitized to the formality on forums.

The only thing keeping me together is the knowledge that this is not an anonymous-user based forum.

People on forums are probably strict because the majority of staff members may be new and thirsty for something wrong to infract. I've only been on one other forum, and it really is the same as this one, if not softer. Everyone swears and all, and there really isn't a problem with that.

Right now there working on getting me unbanned, so that's a start.

At certian points in PC's history I have felt that they were too strict, but that was probably just me being stupid..I think PC is fairly lenient.

Um...strict forums....um..no can't think of any...I only visit the cool ones! xD

Pokezam's forums were rather strict, but more of just the Admin than the mods. He banned someone for badmouthing his magazine. :|

The other forums I frequent are very lenient. I haven't been here two days, so I can't give an opinion on this place yet.

Hell yeah! serebii infracted me because in a FanFic review, i said... Oh what a great story, and quoted a bit and siad '' lol''

I didn't join Serebii simply because strict seems to define that forum. o_o Heck, you can get a 3 point infraction for linking to Wikipedia.

Didn't you know that Serebii is Wikipedia's deranged third cousin? That's why... that's why...

I've actually never been on a really strict forum, most are pretty lenient that I go on, like Picceta, PC, Phanx, and all the other magical places on the interwebz!

Bulbagarden and Serebii pretty much. I've been infracted on Bulbagarden numerous times for idiotic reasons and Serebii's rules are a joke.

I don't really post on any other forums other than PC and another one with a specific topic any more. I can say PC is becoming more strict every year from my experience though. The change is very miniscule but I can notice the strictness increasing.
