Has Another Forum Ever Been WAY too strict

That would be called Daisuki, right, Ascaris?

I've never really joined a forum with too-strict rules.

I dare you to try Psypokes. You cannot ask questions there if there is a thread for it, even if the thread is more than three years old.
Well of course if it's three years old it's not going to be a welcome revival. <_<
Really, Psypoke isn't that bad.
I once joined a forum which was a total copy of PC. The admin didn't take any suggestions and banned anyone who criticised his forum -_-;
PokeCosmo? PC for short, and someone suggested the EXACT same name colours. It was like "I can see it now: Blue for mods, Orange for Smods, green for assistant admins, red for forum admins and purple for site admins", and nobody seemed to notice the similarity.

I'm not at that Bulbagarden place, so I can't really say. If a forum is strict, I just leave.

I use to feel like PC was too strict (this PC, by the way), but when I came back to it a couple of months ago and read some of my old posts, I realized that I was being ignorant and immature. Sometimes you just have to check your attitude and behavior and see if it's really you.

That said, I don't think I've joined a forum that's too strict. I'm currently active on three forums, PC included. The other two are very laid back and aren't as active as PC is. Heck, they don't have a hundredth of the activeness PC has, yet it's still a good time.

Back on topic, it's sometimes the moderators that make a forum seem strict. But sometimes it can be other issues.

Serebiiforums. My friend said she got infracted for posting critisicm..

There are a lot of forums out there that have basically the same things as PC has. Be it name colors, threads, forum descriptions, etc. There's really nothing that can be done about it. Now, I've been to PokeCosmo a while ago, and I noticed a few similarities, but I wouldn't call it a carbon copy compared to others out there. I've been leaving some forums due to their similarities of PC. After all, there's already one PC. No need to have another one.

The final straw for me in a copy would be a DCC. Once a forum creates a DCC such as the one here, I call it quits.

Back before I joined, I used to feel this way as well. I realized after a while, I was just intimidated by the mass amount of members PC had as I wasn't used to joining such a large forum. I tended to spend my time on smaller forums consisting of 2,000 members up to about 5,000.

Um, what? When I ran 'Cosmo the moderators were orange, the S-mods were dark green and the admins were black. I don't really notice any similarities between those colours and PC's colours.

And we didn't refer to PokéCosmo as PC, we referred to it as PC#2.

Cobalt and calcium is pretty damn strict. i left there for months and when i returned some of the old threads were still up. they have a policy of "search before you start a new thread" and boy do they enforce it. they're lenient on language and bad mouthing other bands and coheed. but it was too strict. u had to donate to use a avatar. pretty damn **** if you ask me.

I went to Serebii forums just to check if out before I joined here. I saw some guy make a thread about something (I forgot, but I know it was about Pokemon Emerald). I came back to the same thread two or three hours later to see some replies.

Some moderator closed it for saying that it didn't have anything to do with the R/S/E section when he was asking about Emerald.

Serebii, can you please, please stop going on about this? D= It's not getting any of us anywhere if you two keep arguing back and forth. Besides, Ascaris already said he'd stop. Can you please do the same? =(

I, personally, like your site, but not your forums. The only Pokémon forums I actually like are PC and. . Err. . That's it. XD

In fairness to Serebii, he's only defending his own website, you'd expect Rukario to do the same for PC no?

The fact he admitted he was wrong is big enough in my books.

Anyways, another place that is stupidly strict (Well less strict, more elitist) is Pixeltendo (tSR forum). If someone who's popular there is a complete doss he'll get off with it, often praised by the staff. If a new member does the same, or has an opinion that differs to the staff they can expect warnings to full blown bans.

*Shoddy battle site comes to mind*
The mods there are complete idiots.
._.

Why yes, they are a ton a forums that are strict that I've been to

They were so strict, I left and never turned back, not even for a second

I'm not going to slander those forums for my liking, so don't expect me to say any specific forum names

um PokeCommunity. idk basically this place's staff decisions are pretty crap and incredibly biased. It's pretty sad.

One Word:

"Serebii"

Not many could agree with me, but years ago I wasn't too satisfactory for the mods. I tried again a few months ago and the place was all boring and very tight on the rules.

At least here we have the ability to have custom avatars. :\.

I TOTALLY agree.

Once, I made a thread in the manga section. It was, "Pokemon Special has een nominated in Nick Magazine!"
I pretty much told them to vote online so they can republish it. People were really mean, saying things like: "Dude, it's ****ing Nickelodeon Magazine.

Voting for what is simply that one volume they picked out won't change anything. Seriously."

And, after ten replies (which were pretty much things like, "It won't win") it was closed. Dunno why.
When I posted it here, everyone was really nice and supportive.
Also, I once got an infraction over there. I was like "What did I do??" >.>

PC is probably the strictest forum I've ever been to, that's not saying much though. The other forums I frequently visited had such loose rules. Users only got infractions frequently for posting porn, spamming or abusing the rep system. I liked how they allowed more avy and sig space though.

Yeah, PC is being pretty strict. Every controversial thread that gets into a heated discussion gets locked, but not before a mod gets to voice his angry opinion. Oh, and some of the members are being pretty strict on people who differ in opinions.

*waits for negative rep for having a "bad" opinion*

I'm fine with strict forums like Bulba Garden or PC. At least the members here are disciplined and does not spam and swear. Though I don't know what's serebii.

I think not. In my understanding, they close controversial threads to avoid members being flamed by their opinion.
