I've heard that inspiration has many sources and you can say this question prods that idea. You ever find yourself inspired by an anime or something an a character in an anime or game does? For example, playing Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, seeing all the stuff Penny did in the story or even a character with similar skills and start thinking "You know what? I wanna learn how to do things like that IRL!" and start taking up Coding or whatever the proper term. Perhaps watching Kuroko no Basket and by the end, start learning basketball, or even take it seriously? Prince of Tennis ever give you an itch to try the sport? Or a martial art anime creating a desire to learn karate or kendo? I would just find it very interesting if someone got into a hobby, sport or even chose a career from that kind of inspiration.

My desire to return back to working on the fan projects related to Pokemon as a phenomenon were inspired by my RL close circles, Palworld as well as ironically, my research into finnish folklore.
Having kept over decade old designs I made back when I was a broken reclusive shell also aided in that, though I did have to do some evaluation of my past work to filter out the designs I felt weren't particularly worth redesigning & utilizing.

That inspiration was enough to help me get over the severing of association with a certain group of people who did not hold their end of the bargain. Sure, the scars to my psyche from that experience will remain, but I take what I can get. That is this, and this is that.

I suppose you could say I was inspired by the 2,000s era Starscream from the shows I watched as a teen. I heavily relate to his Armada incarnation, (he's one of my biggest reasons it's my favorite show of all time, as evidenced by my current flair and profile image lol) and he was one of my favorite characters in another show from that time as well.
Even though he's often seen as a stereotypical backstabbing villain type, his portrayal in Armada was vastly different from the norm, being instead more of a victim of an incredibly toxic relationship with his superior who would often make him feel like he was never given any respect at all no matter how hard he tried to earn it, yet he never gave up on being who he was or doing the things he found to be right, even when his superior ordered him not to. And while it's technically a quote from a later show in the series, "As long as my spark still burns, I will never give up!" feels like it could perfectly fit his Armada incarnation perfectly. I still quote his lines to this very day lol.

Quite the intriguing answer considering what goes down in Reborn. Gossip Gardevoir's Gym Leader interviews on TV are a fun memory for me, though.
That character and the interviews are what inspired me to write shorts about fact-checking Pokédex entries, then I looked for a Pokémon forum I could post them in, and that is how I found PokéCommunity! From there, a friend I made there gave me the idea to interview PC members, artists, fan game creators, ... ^^

There are so many instances of characters I like from anime or video games directly inspiring me to better my life or find interest in a certain hobby or something like that. I've wanted to learn to play bass guitar for years because my favourite character from Bandori, Himari Uehara, is a bassist and I could relate to a lot of aspects of her personality and view myself as someone who would rather support a group as a bassist than want to take the spotlight as a main guitarist or vocalist or something. Setsuna Yuki is a big inspiration to me to be honest about what I love and allow myself to enjoy things, and recently Tomo Ebizuka has been an inspiration to better my life by speaking up about my emotions and work through problems with others by being honest instead of bottling things up and suffering in silence for the sake of their feelings.

One of the biggest things I can think of as an inspiration to me is a scene in Love Live Sunshine discussing how coincidences don't really exist, and people can meet and connect with each other because they carry different feelings with them or decide to do different things. It's the same idea of how any random person you pass by on the street is someone you could connect with and change your life. It's inspired me to really put myself out there and meet people instead of just assuming every opportunity will come to me, and that's led me to meet a group of friends I've held for several years and helped me go from a depressed loner to someone a lot happier.

I know this was posted in Video Games but I saw other people mentioning things like TV shows and anime and that's really more of where my inspiration comes from. So I hope it's still in the spirit of the thread and remains on topic.
