Have you ever given / would you ever give blood?

Yes, the only part that hurts is the iron test it hurt more than giving the blood itself. I would love to give more but because of this "little" law right here

Spoiler:

I cannot unless I lie about it.

I haven't given blood because my doctor will not...because I'm still classed as a child -.- Though, I am thinking about donating when I reach 16 (I think it's 16+ on the NHS ><)

Oh my goodness, not many blood donors here. D:

But yes. I have donated blood. Just last week, actually. I've done it twice and I am more likely going to do so again in the next uhh...7-8 weeks? It feels great, though! You do feel a bit weak afterwards but it'll wear off. It'll also be worth it.

I am an O-. Most of my family are iirc.

I've given blood only once last year. Mostly because I could get three days off school for that. Too bad that it can't be done too often as I didn't mind giving blood for that. Besides it's a good thing. It doesn't only help strangers, it also helps you one day. At least in my country where you get free blood when you need it if you donated.

Nope, never have donated blood. No particular reason apart from the fact that I haven't been in a place where blood donation was going on and I've never really thought about donating blood so I've never spent the time to look into where I'd be able to do it.

I have no idea what blood group I am either. Never really been in a situation where I've been in a hospital.

My school hosts a blood drive every year, but I've never been able to donate any because I don't reach the minimum weight requirement for my height. Curse being short. I don't even have a problem with needles either. When I get blood tests done at the doctor's, I like to watch the needle pierce my skin and remove the blood. I don't know, it just fascinates me in a way.

No, I haven't. I'm very okay with needles and shots, but drawing blood from my body isn't something that I respond to well physically. I only had it done once in my life for physicals for college, and it was incredibly draining and I lost a lot of energy.

I'm not old enough to give blood, but if I was, I definitely would. I think that it's pretty nice, just for people who need it. My blood type is O+, so I can give blood to many different people according to blood type, and it's needed, so why not, I guess.

I'm not old enough but I will definitely give blood
my blood group is A+ and my twin sis blood group is O+ :P :P

I gave blood for the second time an hour ago! Wooooooooohooooooooo. I'm such a good samaritan, me. Having said that, it didn't go great. It took ages for the nurse to find a vein, and even then, the blood wouldn't come out quick enough for the machine's liking - it was beeping all over the place! They managed to extract 210ml (or, about half a blood bag) before throwing in the towel, which means that it will only get used for research and not patients. But still... it's the thought that counts, right?

Oh, and I'm O+. The most boring blood group ever, seeing how the majority of people in the UK have it.

I absolutely hate needles. They're like one of the things I hate most. So no, I couldn't do it. I'd freaking pass out, most likely.

I've never given blood, and quite frankly I can't see myself doing so in the future. Maybe if I looked away or something I'd be alright, I don't think I'm deathly afraid of needles but I don't enjoy the thought of them. My blood type's B+.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, does anyone know the minimum weight requirement for donating? I may or may not be able to give blood because of that also. P:

I've never given nor would I ever give blood - in fact, I may actually be ineligible for the same reason SwiftSign is, I'd have to go have a look at the laws on that in Australia - but yeah even if I were allowed to I wouldn't. Needles... ugh no.

I'm not a pussy in general, I'm not scared of needles. It's where they put the needle to take blood that freaks me out. I'm fine with vaccinations where they put it in the top of your arm; that's fine. What's not fine is when I have to hold my arm out while they poke around the inside of my elbow for a vein and then insert the needle in there. I admire people with the courage to do this, but I would just flip the hell out and RUN.

tl;dr THIS IS FINE:

oifuhwrygauwgyf. They can have all the blood and organs they want when I'm dead though lol

I can't do it because of a severe needle phobia. Getting your blood drawn can be a major challenge when seeing it manages to trigger your fight or flight response plus make you vomit when you have to watch it go in your arm. As for my blood type? No, I do not know it because I never thought to ask.

Nope becauseeee I haven't had a chance to though I'm not a fan of where they stick the needle but ya. I'm sure I'd be able to give blood but yeah just haven't.

Anyway I'm A+. I like it because it's like the ultimate achievement. Everyone aims for A's in school and + just makes it all that better really!
