Have you got an advent calendar this year?

    The first day of December is nearly here, that means it's Christmas time soon! But how do you know when it's actually Christmas? By using a countdown/advent calendar, of course! (It contains chocolate) Do you have one this year? :3

    I have a Simpsons one. XD; I had to like argue with Nan and Pop to get it though >_>;
     
    We only had one of those once. With every day there was a piece of chocolate hidden in a compartment.

    After each day passed, you got to take a piece of chocolate.

    Now that was nice. XD
     
    Not this year, but had one I think 2 years ago. The chocolates were dinky, and tasted of malted milk balls.
     
    I used to get those all the time.

    I would make it to the 12th day, and the 13th I'd find that I was hungry and nothing around to eat, but I'd try to resist the temptation to open the rest and eat them, but failed.

    Don't get them anymore, though. :(
     
    I do have one up every year, but there isn't any chocolate in it. :(
    Its just a little star that you move everyday.
     
    I think I'm probably the only one who hasn't had an advent calendar with chocolates in it D:

    All the ones that my sister and I have had were the Playmobil ones which you add an object to the scene everyday. We also just had those ones you hand on the door and you move a little thing on each day.. But honestly, those were enough <3

    Really just the idea of counting down the days is great, like on my wipe board or in my planner :3
     
    Not right now, but I want one so bad. ;____; I loved them when I was a kid, and I'm a sucker for chocolate.

    I hope we make a shopping run soon, that way, I can see if other grocery stores have them. The one closest to us doesn't have them.
     
    No. I couldn't find a Jonas Brothers one. ;_____; Even my dad has forsaken his traditional Barbie calendar because he doesn't eat the chocolate every day.
     
    No, I didn't get one this year. The chocolate is nasty anyways. If the chocolate was actually edible, that'd be a different story.

    I just cross off each day on my planner with a highlighter. I can figure out how many days are left without actually writing it down, even though I don't like the highlighter because it smudges the writing under it and it's hard to tell if I crossed off those assignments that were due or not.
     
    Yep! I've had an advent calendar every year since I was three, and I'm not about to not have one just because I'm an ~adult~ now. This year's model features Bumblebee from Transformers. And omg the chocolate nom nom nommmm <3
     
    No. :( I used to get one every single year but this year no one really said anything and I completely forgot about them. December came on fast this year. xD
     
    No, no I have not. They are aimed for children, opening a little cardboard door with a piece of chocolate behind it will not improve my day.
