Have you started the Christmas shopping?

Oh, not at all. And probably not for a while, either.

I usually put it off until a couple weeks before Christmas, anyway. Less time for sneaky younger brothers to poke around my closet. ;3

Nay, we never start Christmas shopping until some time after Thanksgiving, usually 2 or 3 weeks before Christmas, plus, the only shopping I'll be doing this year is watching 7 pounds and Yes Man on Christmas Day :D. YAY. New Jim Carrey and Will Smith!

I haven't started shopping yet, since I just got a seasonal job at Target, and we get paid bi-weekly (so since Thursday is my first day of work, I guess it'll be Thanksgiving weekend when I get paid.)

I also have to work Black Friday XDD I'm actually really excited, except I don't think I'm in the mega-early shift that gets to see all the punching and trampling. I heard an old woman beat a kid with her cane when he picked up this elmo thing she needed for a grandkid. Siiick people, haha.

Anyway, I'm still excited for the rush. But that's off-topic: I'll start shopping for my family early, get them each something at least, and then go spend December finding stuff for my friends.

I haven't started yet but I'm in the "pre-planning" stage. I'm sort of allocating funds and deciding how much to spend. I dropped like..500 dollars last year, the most I've ever spent. I had a lot of friends to shop for. But this year things are going to be easier. Alot of those "friends" have moved away/turned their back on me and I'm focusing on the people that really matter.

My girlfriend wants Rock Band 2 for the Wii...how awesome is that? It'll be as much mine as it is hers :P. I'll also probably get her some gift cards to all of those clothing stores she drags me through the mall for.

I'm giving my nephews my old drumset and probably a few other small toys (they love drumming and I'd rather they do it at their house and not mine--they haven't quite gotten rhythm down...at all).

I have no idea what to get for my oldest sister.

My younger brother (by five years) is a huge gamer and plays Magic: The Gathering with me. So I'll probably buy him a video game he wants and some cards.

My mom...deserves something nice. I hate that parents only ever ask for things useful for the house so I want it to be fun. She DOES need alot of kitchen stuff--so I'll get that--but I wanna get something fun. Any ideas?

My dad is a big gamer too and loves to read. He's probably why I got into reading and into fantasy lit and such...so something from Barnes N Nobles (gift card or otherwise). He also plays Magic...cards? I don't know. He'll be tough to crack.

I just love buying people stuff. I love wrapping presents (I'm terrible at it). And I love knowing I provided for people I care about :) I'm so thankful and blessed I finally got a decent job so I can splurge like this more often.

I've always wanted to go Christmas shopping. Every year, though, I don't. My father goes out and buys presents for me to give to people and I don't find out what they are until the day of Christmas. So, I'm just as shocked as whoever is getting the present.

With that said,... no.

Yes I have.
I have buy 1 present fore my mother. But I'm waiting now to 27th November.
Then I'm gone buy Christmas presents then.

I really like Christmas

So, you can't buy Christmas presents if you're a Christian? Don't think so. Those people are a different religion.

I haven't. I'm not gettin' much this Christmas.
I'm not saying they cant, they are the one's to decide that not me,

Did I in some way imply they can't, I specifically added holiday so no one would come up with a remark like that.

I just don't see how you got that result, you might wanna read the first post again:/

Wow your further then me in the planning:D

LOL you'd think so, but I actually don't have much on it. I don't bother keeping much of a list for my brother since he likes the same things I do so I usually just pick him up a video game we'll both enjoy (and he does the same for me XD) but... augh, my parents are terrible to shop for. My mom never gives us much of a list so we're always scrambling to find things for her at the last minute when she finally scribbles a few things down. And my dad is even worse for lists since he always just asks for socks and a music DVD, when the whole family has to buy for him lmao. It's tough; I've never really known what they want to begin with (I tend to go off past Christmas lists), so it's hard to make a list of it on my own. XD
Augh, I hate it when people don't give up what they want and just say socks, *someone should actually give these people socks, then I'm sure they wont say socks the Christmas after that*

If I were you I would give him a music DVD if he likes them:D

Oh in a heartbeat! (I've got a multitude of hiding places for Christmas gifts) In fact I already found a great deal that I got. It's safely tucked away where the recipient can't find it.

I really don't need good hiding place, I just keep them in my room, my younger brother is smart enough not to go in there,,, But I do need to hide things from my mom, I usually hide her present at grandma and grandpa:D,,
And my older siblings are almost never home *One moved out, other out of the country in a university* and my sister is not really interested in knowing what she gets.

I still need to go Christmas shopping for my boyfriend (whom I live with) - I'm waiting on the money. Buuuut, I talked him into giving me my two Christmas presents early -- a new $70 wireless mouse, and an Xbox 360 Pro! (We only owned a PS3 before.) *cheers*

And is he getting you more stuff after the X-box?

I am so jealous, my boyfriend has not given me anything early

I made fudge last year, so .. probably some biscuits. XD
Lol buying there love with food:D

I like the way you think:D,

of course I don't have the option of doing that since I always bake so many cookies so that people are full of them before Christmas is here, I always bake in December with my mom:D

sldkfjdlk no, not yet, but I probably should. I'm not too worried though, I can generally think up unique gifts in short amounts of time. I usually end up doing gift cards though because I get too anxious about if people will like the gifts or not. I'm really going to bother my Photo teacher with a J. Crew gift card. He hates expensive clothes; he shops in the clearance rack of Old Navy. xD We all care about him and want to help him update his look!

Lol:D that will surprise him:D

So do you buy all your teachers presents?

No, I'll probably only buy him one and my Graphic Design teacher. I'll probably get chocolates for 2 other teachers that wrote me recommendation letters for college.

OK that seams fair, since they did write you recommendation letters:D,

I never give my teachers anything :embarrass

No, I haven't started my shopping yet. Christmas is still over a month away! :P

What I usually do is take some time to think about what I'll be getting. I then take a day, usually a week or so before Christmas, and I go out and hunt everything down. This is apparently the stereotypical male-way to do it, and it is about the only one that actually fits me. :D

I don't get my teachers anything, because for one thing they have no idea who I am. 80+ students = prof knows few people by name. XD

Lol, typical males never planning ahead, what if the things you wanna buy are oover a week before?

All my teachers know me by name, and I'm not proud of how they learned it,
*FYI: kicking me out of class for talking or texting.*
