Also, we have a commercial. It's very fast-paced and low quality, but you can catch a glimpse of quite a few things--3D HO-OH AND LUGIA HOLY CRAP

I don't think they'd delay the game THAT long just for the sake of "celebrating" the original GSC. That's more than a year from Japan -> US. FrLg didn't come out on the same day as RB did afaik, so it these don't have to come out on the same day either.

And wow, that vid is really cool. The 3D cutscene things look way better than I expected, even with the bad quality of the video. I can't wait to see them in the game =P

The commercial was used as promotion to get the viewers to pre-order the remakes this coming Saturday July 4th in Japan. So, it makes sense to have one out by this time of the year. Especially knowing the games are only about two months away from release. A bit bad quality, however we were able to make out a few of the well known information. Overall though, it is nice to have at least one screening of the game's preview. Not to forget, sometime soon I'm sure a better version of this will appear sometime.

Also, like said, the game does not have to be released on specific anniversary date. It would be a loss for the Pokémon company as the wait time will be over a year from the time of Japan's release of the game. So, more than likely the game will be released in the Spring time of the US, but on the same tenth anniversary year, not date of the originals.

Did anyone else notice the totodile in front of gold using rock smash? it looks like your partner will be able to do hm moves by themselves! Awesome! Now all we need is individual surf sprites for pokemon!

I'm not sure but the in-game battle with Silver we saw before might have been a teaser. Because I just noticed that the Pokéballs were upside down, and Silver's in-game sprite clothes did not match his sugimori art.

Yeah it has been pointed out, The pokeballs were probably mid animation spinning, but it does seem to have been a beta screenshot. Nevertherless, it's always cool to see it again hehe.

Oh, no, I didn't notice that. That's really cool, it's annoying to have to keep pressing A-A-A-A-A-A when you want to break a bunch of Rocks. The only bad part would be if you didn't want to run into any wild Pokemon at that moment. Still, cool addition.

Other people can log in just fine, so that's probably something wrong with your own game. Try using the Nintendo site for help.

Yeah, there was one... somewhere. I can't remember. It might have been in the closed sticky, but like I said, I don't remember where it was. The Silver sprite looks much better/more polished in that one, and his hair doesn't look so... flat. Plus Gold's backsprite changed a little bit too from the first one, though not as much.

I actually did notice this near the ending of the commercial. However, it is really nice they've decided on allowing the outide Pokémon [or at least the Pokémon that knows the HM] come about and show what they do as a field move. This actually does give hope to the surfing sprite like so many thought before. Although, there may be some that is is a bit skeptical on how it will work out, but nevertheless great to see the game worked out this way.

The GTS will more than likely be a Global Terminal within the remakes. As pointed out, the building matches similar to that of Platinum's and not to mention the GTS in Diamond and Pearl were to short compared to the building situated in Golderod City. However, as for you difficulty, first I would ask, do you have access to Wi-Fi, as this is a vital necessity to really make use of the GTS in DP. Secondly, if you do, then either there are a few things not being done correctly or your game is glitching up for you at the moment.

Like said, this was pointed out. However, I am glad to know that the previous screen capture of the first image was just a beta test. When I had first seen it I wasn't very pleased noting how much different it looked when compared to Silver's new artwork. However, with this being shown and noting is official, then I can say Game Freak picked up the lag and made a nice improvement. I can expect some beta images, however as we near closer things may become a bit more accurate.

Never thought about that before. Only thought about how I would go there and fight for my life. I think it just might be Red, whoever you choose. I don't see the creators making major differences like that based on what gender you choose. Not anytime soon at least.

So do you think there will be a new method for catching shinies other than chaining? And will the pokéradar be appearing again?(if yes, will it appear earlier in the game or later?)

The Johto landscape is way different from the one in Sinnoh, the grass is much more diverse and not so packed together. I believe they may just replace the pokeradar with some new system, with what I don't know. I just don't see the pokeradar working out in Johto.

Yes, seeing as Hoenn is being the only left out region right now, I would say we will more than likely have a few encounters with some of them after the National Dex is obtained. Whether it be in special locations or even through the PokéRadar, I still expect at least a few to be available. Not to mention, along with them being there, more than likely some may be held exclusive like in FRLG had it as well for the selective second generation Pokémon made aquirable.

Besides accessing some of the older areas that were closed before, there will be the new buildings and areas we have seen so far. All of this will give the player something extra to do. Although, adding the extra travel in and a more realistic view point of things will definitely be a nice touch, I agree. It is only to note whether or not Game Freak will implement such an idea at the moment or not.

As for the Game Corner, like in Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver for the Euro version will be disabled as well. The reason being is because of new European law that doesn't permit the influence of gambling or anything closely related to such events. So with this being said, HGSS for the Eruo model will have the Game Corner present, but it will not be accessible to play any of the slot machines available within. Although, on the topic of weather, in recent videos dealing with the Arceus event, snow was seen within the game, however most speculate it being placed near the top of Mt. Silver.

But if Hoenn Pokemon appears in HG/SS, that might mean there will be no R/S remake on Gen V, unless if there's no tradability for Gen IV between Gen V.

I saw the HG/SS commercial screencap on Serebii, I think the graphic are really awesome!! I like how they made Morty and Clair's Gym, and some areas as well!! [=
I can predict that this game will be the best and fast selling!!

Yeah the ruins, they said this ruins can be only found when you have movie Arceus, am I right?

OMG that really is an apricorn tree, it's the place just next to the house of the mister where you get the togepi egg, WOOHOO!!! ( or it can be they decided to change the berry plants a lot, but i don't see a place to plant them then nor has ever a place to plant only one berry been seen in any game, so it looks like they are really freaking back!!! huray for apricorns :D)

i was wondering. If you have accessories and no contests what would be the use? I was thinking if contests don't make it what about accesorizing your Pokemon before the race in the racing part? So instead of contests, races like contest races. Kinda like card games on motorbikes...
