4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

I agree it was a nice feature. I'm looking forward to it, and hopefully it'll stay. Most likely it will, as before it depended on when some Pokémon can be caught in the game.
 
Fan translation??

Pokemon platinum was translated into english by Rykin before it was released in america.
Do you think anybody will do the same to HG/SS?
I personally can't play a pokemon game without knowing what moves my pokemon has e.t.c. and it would probably not be that hard either considering they're remakes so you can just copy the dialouge from the original games.

And I wouldn't play a fan translation, the translator is only human and could make mistakes.
 
It's against the rules to ask for Roms on here, unless what your asking for is a patch file.

What in the world are you talking about?! They were asking if they thought an unofficial translation WOULD be made, not where to get it (a hard question to answer, as one does not exist). Read the thread before quoting the rules.
 
I'm not, I'm just doing him a favor and trying to keep him out of trouble.
 
He wasn't asking for a ROM, how was what you said going to keep him out of trouble?

This is not about ROMs, it's about the possibility of a fan translation of HG/SS.
 
The backlight in the old Gameboy weren't as great quality as the ones we have now. So the night scene would like different, but if it follows the DPPt style, then there shouldn't be too much of that problem.
 
If they do happen to add in the DPPT day and night system, they could always contrast a bit differently. That way it'll be a little bit different than just deciding to copy the whole day and night system from DPPT.
 
I think D/P/Pts. Looks good, I mean I love the feature itself. I'm totally psyched to see hwat it looks like in GSDS. But hopefully they could improved it. I always thought morning was a little lighter than what they showed.

Well we've seen New Bark Town but I couldn't really tell by the picture that much. I guess we'll have to see more pictures of town/cities to figure it all out about this day and night system.
 
It doesn't usually get lighter intil like 8:00AM in the game, though I think it should be changed to a little earlier time.
 
If they happen to follow the DPPT day and night system, then they could make the red time (I don't know which time that was) a little bit earlier. To get it to the red time it was usually 2:00 or so.

Well I think Nintendo followed Japan's real life-time,
So when the sun goes down I think 4PM is the best time...

Yes, that's the time.

Well I guess we'll have to see what happens to the day and night system when we get more news. We'll also see how it works a bit when we get more pictures of the cities and towns.
 
Does anyone else want the levels of trainers/leaders to be higher?
Like the highest in the 7th gym was, what, 31?
