4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

In Pokemon Crystal,
after beating Claire & finishing the "Dragon user test",
The Dragon master gives you a Dratini that knows the move ExtremeSpeed.
Who think this'll be in HG/SS?
I hope so, Dragonite could use a advantage or 2 or 3 or 10 over Salamence....

Anyways, I personally would like to see it come back - would be interesting if it does, really. I suppose it comes down to how much stuff from Crystal would they actually put in the GS remakes or not.

What do you guys think Suicune's role in the story will be?

Since it's a remake of Gold and Silver, not Crystal; I believe the legendary dogs will have the same event in HG/SS - Meet them at the Burnt Tower, then randomly find them through the wild Pokémon Grass throughout Johto only.

My question here is: Well, I don't quite remember if it was possible in Gold and Silver to get the three birds, but since we will obviously be going to Kanto - Do you think that the legendary birds will roam around Kanto like they did in Sinnoh in Platinum, or will they be in their regular spots like in R/G/B/Y or FR/LG.

AKA: Articuno - Seafoam Islands; Zapdos - Abandoned Power Plant; Moltres - Victory Road/Somewhere in Kanto that has a volcano.

I doubt that they'll put them in they were in Platinum so there is no point in putting them in

I Hope that Celebi will be in it or u can get it via a WiFi event

-They already made Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres available in Pokemon Platinum. It should also be noted that Regirock, Registeel & Regice are obtainable. The only trio left is Raikou, Entei and Suicune -- so most likely (95%) they will be the ONLY ones available. But no one can say for sure because of that remaining 5%.... Agony!





-Also they may also include Jirachi or Mew or Mewtwo(Unknown Dungeon) in HGSS because all pokemon must be available in a Generation. All pokemon could be obtained in Generation 1. All Jhoto and Kanto Pokemon could be obtained in Generation 2 after trading with Yellow. Except Celebi all Kanto, Jhoto and Honnen pokemon could be encountered in Generation 3. In Generation 4, all pokemon obtainable in Generation 3 pokemon can be obtained as well as all the new pokemon. The only pokemon remaining is Celebi. So one can say 100% that Celebi will be available whether by even or not. If by event .... well then maybe Celebi can be obtained by tweaking if there is a fast gear bike!!

What do you guys think??

I think its role will be minimal as its a remake of G/S not Crystal but who knows. Maybe Nintendo will give it a bigger role.

I, as an individual, believe that Suicune will play the same part it did in Crystal.
It would be disappointing, at least for me, to see that not being present...

There are only a few legendary Pokemons that you cannot get with the help of the main games.

Note: The "main" games are R/B/Y, G/S/C, R/S/E, FR/LG, D/P/Pt, HG/SS only.

Those few legendary Pokemons would be Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi - who are surprisingly from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen respectively.
They also have something else in common, they are cute legendaries! :)
 
With the topic of Suicune, I really doubt that the remake may follow the same storyline with it. The reason I say this is because the game is a Gold and Silver remake and not a Crystal remake. Though, it may have a slim chance of it being part of the game, I strongly believe it'll be like how it was in the original Gold and Silver. This of course is when it was seen running out of the Burnt Towers with its other two counterparts: Entei and Raikou. I actually remember this fairly well in the originals and I even remember when I had a crash landing one time with Entei. I never was able to catch it at that time because I wasn't expecting it. This will be a different story however in the remake. I'm hoping the three legendary beasts will be found running wild around Johto again. It will just add to the essence of nostalgia and make the game all more worthwhile. Plus, I want to catch them again with better IVs than what they had set back in FireRed and LeafGreen. Like mentioned, they are the only three trio legendaries not able to be caught in the 4th Generation games so I think it is pretty possible to expect them once again, along with hopefully a new sprite as well.

Also, on Celebi, it is true. It'll more than likely to be held as an event as all of Sinnoh's cute legendaries had their event and Mew and Jirachi had one as well. So, I won't be pushing this thought asise as yet. Though on the comment on having Mew and Jirachi available in-game og HeartGold and SoulSilver, I doubt it. Even though we are almost allowed every Pokémon now, there are some they won't single handedly give out so easily. More than likely events are held for Pokémon such as Celebi, Mew, Jirachi, and of course we recently had the event for Shaymin.
 
Given that most of the special legendary Pokémon in Diamond and Pearl can merely be caught when GameFreak/Nintendo/The Pokémon Company wants them to, there's nothing stopping them from putting Mew and Jirachi in as sidequests like Darkrai etc.

I reckon theyd have to tie Hoenn and Sinnoh pokemon in somehow without the use of trading. Maybe add a Hoenn/Sinnoh Gym selection?

I don't really understand where you are going with this. For instance, what do you mean by a Hoenn/Sinnoh Gym Selection? If I think you mean they'd add in Hoenn and Sinnoh Gym Leaders, then I would doubt that would happen as it's a drastic change for one and isn't really necessary. Plus, Pokémon is a type of game that is based off of trade and battle. Plus, they'd never stop the action of trading because some Pokémon are required to be exchanged before being able to evolve.

I wouldn't really see this coming in a remake like this though. If they do tie in some Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokémon it would either be seen in the wild or with trainers. More the likely it'll be seen after the National Dex, but I wouldn't know as yet. Anyway, yeah, they'd never allow all the Pokémon to be available without the need of trade as it'll decrease the sales of their other games as well. Plus, I think it'll ruin some of the fun and make the game too compact with Pokémon. Also, there wouldn't be a need for exclusive Pokémon or two games if they followed the idea stated.
 
i want to see good side plots and hopefully stuff requiring wifi connection like a game or something
 
I think Suicune may play a role in the story...
It's list of learnable moves has changed in Pokemon Crystal,
& it has remain that way since.....
But then, they could make Suicune's movelist
the way it was in Gold/Silver....

I think you would have to get them from D/P/Pt to get them, because they won't be in the game. Ho-oh and Lugia are the star legenadaries in this one as far as we know.
 
The HGSS legendaries will be te only ones in this game. If they allow trading from the 4th gens, then you'll have to trade. But they may not allow it.
 
Eh, I honestly dont want them in my copy of SoulSilver...at all.....as a matter of fact, the only pokemon I want in my SS that are not first or second generation are Metagross and Salamence.

It would also be a bit stupid to put legends from a newer gen into a older gen remake, so I doubt it.
 
We are in gen 4 which coincidentally the generations legends are in the gens games. Shocker right?
Seriously now why would they even need to?
