4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

Proper names should be given now seeing as things are being worked out well with the characters. As for Soul, even if it were to be Soul, I don't mind. It is a pretty name and works for her, just as the outfit does as well. I wouldn't judge her farther than though though, because I don't know how well she'll play her role in the game or the anime as yet.

As for the TMs, it is no doubt that it will end up being made the same as it was in DPPt. Nothing witll be altered with this fact because of compatability reasons as so many have stressed before. Howevers, HMs are possible to be changed as they are permanent items in the game and cannot be traded as TMs could. It will also be most probably that Move Tutors will be intreoduced into the games. Many find them very helpful to learn new moves both favorably and strategically.

Well, seeing as how this was still on the original Game Boy, I think its okay that it was that underdeveloped. The fact that it was included to the extent it was is still mind-blowing.

Very true, and it was indeed mind-blowing, but it also leaves them an opportunity to further develop it in the 4th generation, but not knowing much about the capabilities of the DS catridges, I will try not to expect too much. I still hope that they do improve on it.

soul is kinda weird for a name plus if she's gonna be like dawn in platinum its gonna suck she didnt play any role she was just there. the charector you didnt pick doesnt play a decent role their just there idk why they just talk no type of battle. the gender you dont pick should battle somethime like a second rival. it would make the game funner.

I think Soul is quite a heartfelt name to describe the HG/SS heroine. It describes a lot in one word and it also matches the title of one of the games. If Soul is used it'll be the first time I actually like the female heroine's default name.

A DS cartirdge uses flash memory, and there's flash carts that hold up to 4GB. I know flash carts don't work the same way as normal DS carts, but I think it's possible to have a nice big game. Valve could easily have Half-Life on a DS, with considerably worse graphics, but you never know with Valve, they're so awesome, they could probably make TF2 or even HL2 for the DS and Wii.

I seriously doubt and really hope there won't be any fourth generation Pokémon.

I could see 3rd generation Pokémon appearing through some Pokéradar-like thing or after you get the National Dex, but I really don't want to see any 4th generation Pokémon.

They'll probably be spread around both regions.

You might be able to trade them, but I don't seem them letting you obtain many 4th generation as the version for that (D/P/PT so as you can trade them, but I think a few 3rd Generation will be obtainable.

I agree. They'll probably mix in the 3rd Gen. pokemon for people without R/S/E, and then the 4th Gen pokemon will have to be transferred over.

well, after gettin the national dex, seein 3rd gen pokes may be possible through pokeradar, new section in safari zone, new islands, but i really doubt he appearance of 4th gen pokes (with the exeption of some event pokemon like arceus) like 3rd gen pokemon didnt appear in firered and leafgreen, not even the ones that u can get by breedin work, like if u breed to wobefet, u will get a wobefet egg and not a wynaut...

I'm almost certain that barely any 4th gen. Pokemon will show up in HG/SS just like the 3rd gen. one's were hardly in FR/LG.

P.S. Billi1000, the reason that breeding didn't work for you is because Wobbufett needs to be holding a certain incense to pop out a Wynaut egg.

Um...evolve maybe?
Eevee - Leafeon, Glaceon...not sure about these two
Yanma - Yanmega
Gligar - Gliscor
Togetic - Togekiss
and our favs...Electivire and Magmortar *no applause*
It's kind of obvious as to where(how) you get some of the 4th gens...they might not be wild in-game but you could always evolve 'em to those big, bulky, evos we all know and hate on...

Like others have mentioned, I also think they'll pop up through pokeradar and perhaps in some places after E4?

i have no idea- maybe if you ask the people in the speculation thread (they know more than i do) they can give you an answer
but, yeah, known info thread is always an option- i feel kinda bad for bobandbill, he's probs exhausted from being on constant watch of this forum

I honestly don't understand why you keep making threads like this, how can we POSSIBLY know if there's more stations? No offense man, but just think that maybe if you don't know it, chances are we don't either.

HG/SS Speculation Thread is where this should go, personally I think that they will follow the same formula they have with every recent Pokemon game, the region Pokemon first, then the others after you get the national dex.
