    Hi everyone,

I'm new here of course, and in fact I have lurked on a few different forums, but as a giga-introvert, I rarely ever make an account or post on any of them, but that changes today. I'm an amateur developer, phrasing with amateur as by its definition, it's something I do because I love doing it, and not professionally. Most of my projects revolve around making games and other software run on unintended hardware, and I have a strong interest in making my own rom hacks in the near future (more on this later). I also like creating mods for games like farming simulator and skyrim, and have a strong background in music (ex; remixing, re arranging, or downright recomposing scores from shows and games).

I stumbled into this forum after seeing the This Gym Of Mine rom hack on YouTube, and needed to check it out. I've been a longtime pokemon fan, and got started with a copy of Blue, and Crystal for my dear old Gameboy. I did however fall out of touch with the official games after feeling not as satisfied with Black and White (the last gen I finished completely). Lately I have been having fun with modding different consoles from og xbox's to my new 3ds, and lots in between. I'm looking forward to meeting new people on the forum, making connections, and hopefully even starting a few new collaborations in the future!

Welcome to the forums! Seems you're the new new person after me. I hope you have a good time here! I'm a super fan of Skyrim as well, are your mods public? I'd love to know about them, if you don't mind sharing!

    *Salutes* Welcome aboard!

Glad you found your way here to this awesome forum and good to see another fan that started with the original games. I hope you enjoy your stay and I'll look forward to reading more about your mods and rom hacks!
Thanks! I've got two projects in the works at the moment so I'll be spinning up a new thread in the near future!

Thanks, I'm having a blast so far! I don't remember if I uploaded any of the skyrim mods specifically, as most of them were comical in nature. I do have one that a friend and i made called the "BunnyBenchTest" that i know i still have the code for somewhere. It was a stress test that would spawn dozens, then hundreds, and even thousands of rabbits around the player in stages to see what the PC could handle lol. I'll do some digging and see if i can find it, or any others. (This was done back when my gtx 970 sli combo was still relevant, so its been a decade or so)

I clicked on your thread by chance, and I just have to say that I really adore your avatar! It's really cute! Made me smile.

Welcome to PC! You picked probably the best forum for introverts. We're such a friendly group of people here that even giga-introverts will feel welcomed. Best of luck with all your creative pursuits.

Hello Skippinmudkipz, and welcome to the forums!
You started with Blue ? That is neat! I started with Red myself! What is your favourite starter ? Mine is Charizard (top favourite Pokémon ^^)!
While my interest decreased after the third generation, I never truly left, picking games like Black 2 occasionally, and I have been into fan games in the last years. I have some great fan games I can suggest if you are interested!

I am a busy Gardevoir with the job I have but I am always up for new friends!

Hi! Modding wise I've chipped lots of old Xbox's, modified controllers to work with other consoles (for more accurate emulation), and built a few nonsensical projects. Years ago i case swapped 4 ps2's into an old ibm server case to make a "lan party in a box". Was a fun idea, but was wayyyy to heavy to be practical lol. Currently I'm taking inspiration from a youtube video and turning an old sega genesis into a synthesiser, and will try to build a few more out of other retro consols with cool sounding audio chips. If anyones interested, the origional vid was posted by "look mum no computer"

I have an old 4 way link cable that my uncle gave me with the game boy, thanks to that I didnt need to pick  So I had all three in my team. Was the typical kid who wanted to copy the show as close as possible lol. My fav is byfar mudkip, but I do like starting with a grass type in most of the other games to give myself a challenge.
Im always open to more suggestions for good fan games, I'm playing ultra violet right now, and I think I'm going to start liquid crystal next

Neat! I love Mudkip too. I picked it on Ruby and, with it evolved, soloed the whole game, League included! Swampert just plowed through every foe on its own! Surf! Next! Earthquake! Next! XD
In fan games, I can suggest Solar Light - Lunar Dark, Zeta / Omicron, Insurgence (my favourite). And, if you are into challenge and top level battles, there is Reborn (filled with hairpulling puzzles ^^) and Desolation (not finished but already tens of hours of playing)!

Awesome, Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going try solar light bc i have a soft spot for rpgmaker xp, I'll also look into reborn bc now im curios as to how hard it is lol

    Hello!
    Welcome to PC! =3

Have you played any spinoff Pokemon games such as for example the PMD series or (new) Snap ?
I've played Red Rescue Team a ton back in the day, and I have the n64 and ngc games on a few emulator rigs but haven't played them yet. My other half loves playing snap on the 64 though lol

    Very. XD
If you do stick to it, you might see which of its characters inspired me! ^^

Hello there Skippinmudkipz, and welcome to the PC!

Designing your own mods sounds really cool! Reminds me of a guy I occasionally watch VODs from on Youtube who does all kinds of whacky mod stuff (mostly in Skyrim, but not exclusively) lol.

    What's your favorite mod you've seen/played for a game?

Thankyou! I'm willing to bet that you're thinking of "the spiffing brit" lol.

By far my favorite mod would have to be "Cursed Halo" by InfernoPlus. Its an overhaul of halo CE but adds lots of nonsensical features like the flappy-bashee, and the reverse throwing pistol. With his other mod "Halo 2 with no friction" as a close second.

The mod I'm currently working on, is a map for FS22 (and eventually FS25), using google satellite data to import my old family farm, along with the town of Spruceview AB into the game. Although after joining this forum, I've had the shower-thought of re-texturing the animals into pokemon, and also building a FS22 map based off of a location in Kanto (another friend of mine is all ready porting Zelda OOT map data for a similar project after we thought it would be fun to farm in hyrule lol)

Nope, but I do like his stuff too. I was talking about Dougdoug lol.

Not super familiar with Halo, but anything that adds whacky stuff to a game sounds really fun! Like my personal favorite one for Skyrim, that being the "Cheese! For everyone!" shout LOL.

Cool! I know even less about the specific FS games, but a Pokemon x farm sim game is something I've wanted to see made for quite a few years lol. Good luck on it!
