Help choose the next new default theme

    OK.. lets see now.. we want to change the forum default theme and instead of just randomly picking one, we decided to let you, our community supporters, choose it..

    Post your choice(s) and why you think it should be the next default theme.

    ..the one with the most 'hits' and the best reasons will be chosen.

    This seems like a good idea. :D
    I'd vote either "Poké Link 4 Blue" or "Caramel Sentret", mostly because they're quite simple and effective, plus the banner at the top of the screen isn't overly too big, which can be a turn-off for people going to new forums.

    I voted two of them, since I'm not sure whether Poké Link 4 Blue is available to regular members or not. :/ I hope my reasons are good enough.

    Here's another vote for Poké Link 4 Blue. It's very clean and professional.

    I also like Route 167.
     
    I actually like New Directions. It's fresh and different. It's got a few issues though... like the green text on the bottom of the page on the green background; it's hard to read. And in the shortcuts box, there should be a " | " between Oekaki and Log Out, just like there is between the other links there. But if that's fixed :3... is it available to regular members?

    Route 167 is awesome too though. Looks professional enough but more vivid than PokéLink 4.

    Yeah, but it's HUUUUUUGE. I don't think a theme that takes up that much room or employs non-standard layouts is a good idea.

    New Directions is currently staff + supporters only, so that isn't a good choice.

    @Archer: "HUUUUUUGE?" 405 pixels is not huge. Honestly... :|
     
    I vote Poke Link 4 Blue, simply because it's much friendlier to those who have slow connections and small resolution screens. It's also very clean.

    And 405 pixels is huge for a website banner, Nick. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have either a fast connection or a large resolution, and a large banner would deter those with slower connections from posting or staying, and it may deter those will smaller resolutions from doing the same as well.

    Route 167 would get my vote if it were a bit friendlier to slow connection speeds.
     
    Route 167 is the one I used before Azure Fantasy, which I liked. So my vote is for Route 167.
     
    Dimensional Rift has always been my favourite. It's use of a picture of space for the background, with the really well put together art from the anime semi transparent over it is a really cool effect. It's not too wide either, which in my opinion is better for viewing posts with. And it doesn't hurt your eyes!

    By the way, could someone VM me telling me who made it?

    It's simple, clean not to messy or active with it's colours and grpahics. But at the same time it isn't too simple.
     
    My vote would be for Route 167. It is simple but looks very professional, and it would be great as the default skin. ^__^

    My vote would have to go to Route 167, no doubt about that. Most appealing for newcomers. I'd be disappointed if PokeLink 4 beat it... it's too simple >__>

    You should try loading both of them in a mobile browser in a non-G coverage area and then tell me that you wouldn't rather have Poke Link 4 Blue be the default instead. That background imagery makes it take twice as long to load as Poke Link 4 Blue does on my mobile.

    Don't you think people should know better than to browse the internet on anything under iPod touch/iPhone kind of power?
     
    I think if I were going to seriously browse PC on a mobile device I would make my own default skin be a simple one. Though I much prefer using an actual computer.

    That said, Forest Grovyle's Legendaries always worked well on my phone.
