So, here is my team. I use good OU Pokemon and I use them well but my team still seems to lack that something to be successful. It's probably the fact that I just see Pokemon individually instead of thinking how well they can cooperate together. I try not to use Pokemon with same weaknesses and I follow the 1 sweeper - 3 defensive core - 1 glue - 1 filler(either it is another sweeper or anything) team structure but I still kinda fail. Don't get me wrong, I win a good amount of battles and when I lose I give a good fight more often than not.
Anyway here it is :
Durian (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SDef
IVs: 0 Spd
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
Ferrothorn is my mixed wall/annoyer. It counters a good amount of Pokemon like physical Garchomp, Landorus and other physical attackers while healing with leech seed. Gyro ball is good and hits hard fast Pokemon. T-wave is kinda counter productive with gyro ball in there but it's useful for messing up fast opponents that gyro ball can't really hurt anyway. He sets up rocks for me too which is always useful. Ferro is very useful in my team.
Maddy (Gyarados) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Toxic
- Waterfall
- Taunt
- Earthquake
Defensive Gyarados. I love Gyarados. He is one of the best Pokemon. He is versatile with his role. He can be an offensive DD, defensive annoyer/stallbreaker like the one I use, Bulky DD, or all-out attacker with assault vest(I use him too). Anyway, I opted to test this defensive gyarados cause I like it. He can taunt walls and other slow defensive Pokemon and toxic anyone. Waterfall for stab and earthquake for coverage.
Paradox (Kyurem-B) @ Leftovers
Trait: Teravolt
EVs: 56 HP / 252 SAtk / 200 Spd
Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Substitute
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
He was supposed to be my instant wallbreaker but I decided to go with this set because I feel like he needs to remain in the game longer. Like, he is bulky so with a sub he is gonna be awesome. Switch him in, sub and attack. He is versatile and hits hard.
Beast (Landorus-T) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
Another sweeper. He kills talonflame and uses knock off on anything that can't be killed with EQ or stone edge. He is quite good although I feel that the Choice Band set may be more fitting.
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
I just adore Latios/Latias. They are great Pokemon. Cool type, awesome moves and really strong stats. Latios is my revenge killer and he works well with his diverse movepool. So much power behind every hit its not even funny.
Neraida (Clefable) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Heal Bell
- Protect
- Moonblast
Clefable is just an ideal wall because fairy type is great and she supports my team. I think I should switch her to Blissey cause I need more special defense in this team and besides my Pokemon aren't particularly weak to any type that fairies resist. Anyway Blissey I will try you I think.
What do you think?
