Hi, everyone! I go by ProboVon. It's a creative (not really) blend of one of my favorite pokemon (uh...Probopass) and my first name (Von). I've been a Pokemon enthusiast since Pokemon became popular in the mid 90s. As a 5th grader, I bought Pokemon Red the day it came out, and my interest in the games/cards/anything Pokemon-related has only increased.

So I'm looking forward to spending a lot of free time here! Discussing Pokemon and...whatnot. You know how it is. Thanks for reading, guys! See you around!

I have to say, interesting to see a Probopass fan around since that thing barely gets any love, but it's awesome to see more fans of underappreciated Pokemon. Anyway, welcome to PC Von!

I was into Pokemon since the early days, and then eventually started playing when Ruby & Sapphire came out. Got myself a GBA SP and Ruby for my 11th birthday, and the rest was history since I had gone on to play every subsequent generation and I have always been loving how much the franchise has grown over the years.

And yeah we have loads of discussions about Pokemon, and a few other things as well so you'll never get tired of what's up for talking and such. Have a very fun time around the forums and if you ever want to talk, feel free to leave a visitor message!

Same here, awesomepossum. 8] I got into Pokemon in the late 1990s and am still a huge fan. Being on forums like these really does help keep that flame lit too so it's one of the many reasons it's worth it sticking around here. Welcome welcome, ProboVon! We're really glad having you here. Probopass huh? Not a bad Pokemon! Like Hika said, Probopass doesn't get as much love as it should, so yeah it's pretty cool seeing someone liking a low-key Pokemon. :) What's your favorite thing about it?

It's great to see that you've still kept your love of Pokemon even after so long! I know that a good number of people that lived in the times when Pokemon first came out have moved on for other stuff, so props to you. Other than Pokemon Red, have you played any other Pokemon games? And if so which?

Sadly, it's true--Probopass is a very underappreciated and underused Pokemon. But I love the thing. It's a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield if you can keep it away from fighting and ground types (I really wish it could have the Levitate ability). Also, I absolutely LOVE its design. It's a strange mix of cuteness, weirdness, and Nigel Thornberry.

It's always hard for me to go against the original 151 Pokemon. I got into Pokemon right when it hit the scenes, so the first generation is the group I first fell in love with. There's a certain charm the originals have that Pokemon from other generations lack. But! That shouldn't suggest that I don't like the other generations. I find myself continuously impressed each time a new generation of Pokemon emerges. Their designs are still great (mostly)!

Favorite game though? I'm not sure I can choose just one. Each game has its draws for me. haha

Other than Pokemon Red, have you played any other Pokemon games? And if so which?

Yep! I literally play Pokemon every day of my life (unless work completely consumes me, which does happen on occasion). I own the following games:

-Pokemon Red and Blue (but not Yellow)
-Pokemon Silver and Crystal (but not Gold)
-Pokemon Ruby and Emerald (but not Sapphire)
-Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green
-Pokemon Diamond and Platinum (but not Pearl)
-Pokemon Soul Silver and Heart Gold
-Pokemon Black and White
-Pokemon Black 2 and White 2
-Pokemon X and Y
-Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

...and Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 for the N64. Haven't played those for some time. haha
