Hitmon's or Ki's?

Which Fighting Type Duo do you think is better?

Pff, the Ki's will never be able to compare to the Hitmon's. Besides, Hitmonchan represents punching, and Hitmonlee, kicking. Nageki and Dakegi don't seem to represent any type of fighting. >.>
 
Based on designs alone, the chans are far superior. Plus, it's the Pokemon version of Bruce Lee and Jakie Chan! How could you vote against that?

This, really. =p

I actually do like the new ones though (the 'Ki's' until they get english names I guess =p) - might be because I like martial arts - but Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan seem to be better to me design-wise.

Actually. Nageki and Dageki are suppose to represent Judo and Karate, respectivly.
 
I chose the Hitmons more than those Ki's. They have way more better design. Even though they're more simple. But that doesn't mean I don't like those Ki's anyway.

Indeed - I believe the identification for them in the dex literally translates to the Karate/Judo Pokemon as well. Their general sprite stances fits that too, as do their movesets - judo focus on grappling and take downs/throws - Nageki gets moves like Bind, Vital Throw and Overhead Throw, while karate does not - more about fighting on one's feet and using hand/leg attacks rather than grabbing, hence Dageki getting moves like Rock Smash, Brick Break, Ankle Sweep, and the obvious Karate Chop.

Certainly there's more to them than what meets the eye at first glance.
 
Hitmonlee: Taekwan-do
Hitmonchan: Boxing
Hitmontop: capoeira
Nageki: Judo
Dageki: Karate

I've done both Judo and Taekwan-do.
but I vote for the hitmons, not because of Lee or Chan, but because of Top and their pre-evo Tyrogue.
 
I'm gonna go for the hitmons on this one. Their designs are more interesting.

They do have an overly humanoid appearance. Though I suppose that makes sense since they are suppose to be judo and karate masters. I guess it's also that fact that their "clothing" looks so real. Real as in they could take it off and on while it should really be a part of their body. Even Jynx doesn't appear to be as human like to me as these two do.
 
Hitmonlee and hitmonchan in my opinion are alot better. I dont really like the other two at all
 
Honestly, I don't really like either group. But, since I feel sorry for Nageki and Dageki with how they are being treated, and I fail to see anything wrong with them, I voted for them.

Plus, I like the whole Red Oni, Blue Oni thing they seem to have going on, and I've never once found the Hitmons to be even remotely interesting to me, except for Hitmontop.
 
I like the looks of the Hitmon trio better. They're vaguely humanoid, but still distinct enough to clearly be Pokemon and not just slightly altered humans. Plus I love Hitmonchan's type variety. Fire/Ice/Thunder Punch make a great combo, and the Physical/Special split means Hitmonchan finally gets the strength to use them well.
 
I'm going to go with the classics here. The Hitmon-Pokes for me. At least they don't look like colored rocks.
 
The hitmon's. Something 'bout the ki's just doesn't appeal me. (Even though I like tons of other gen v pokemon.)
