Holiday birthdays

Is your birthday near or on a holiday? If it is then how do you like that? Does it have any affect on your day, good or bad? If your birthday isn't close to a holiday do you think it would be cool if it was or no?

My birthday isn't on a major holiday, but it does sometimes share the same day with Labor Day here in the US, and when that happens it's annoying because it's hard to actually do things to celebrate with closures everywhere, couldn't even get into a real restaurant to eat when I turned 18 because it was Labor Monday and everything was shut down that wasn't a McDonald's. My friends and I got all dressed up for nothing, it was a total ghost town when we came out.

I have a cousin who was born on December 26th. He likes to celebrate his birthday and Christmas separately instead of lumping them together.

And my mother has a Halloween birthday (October 31st). We usually celebrate her birthday first and then do whatever Halloween plans we have.

My birthday is the day after Christmas. I've never thought of it as bad, or really even good. I don't know what it's like to have a birthday separated from a holiday.

My family has always celebrated it separately, so that helps it be more of a positive thing.

My birthday is in the middle of January. The only holiday that it shares sometimes is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which meant I'd usually have a 3-day weekend around my birthday since school would always be closed on that Monday. Very rarely does my birthday fall on the day itself though.

I had my birthday fall on a Jewish holiday once which meant I had the day off from school. I was in middle school when that happened. Other than that one instance, it never really fell on a holiday and I say thank goodness for that.

my birthday can fall on mardi gras sometime, i like the funny ourple green and yellow cakes so nom :3

My birthday is on the exact day Ukraine was invaded (woke up on my 15th bday to the news), which has made me feel a bit awkward when celebrating it over the past few years. Aside from that, it's also just 10 days after Valentine's day, though the effect has been pretty much neutral since it's a fairly minor holiday.

It's not really near a holiday per se, but my birthday is October 3rd... so I feel like that kinda counts since October is Halloween month. o.o

my birthday falls on martin luther king day every 5-6 years! it's nice because i work in the public sector and usually means a day off on my birthday (other than the weekend)

Not a specific holiday, but my birthday was always during the summer break when I was still in school.
Was never popular (nor have I ever wanted to be), so I don't think it really mattered.

My birthday is July 1st which if you're from Canada that is Canada Day but the other closest is 4th of July. I have yet to be in Canada for my birthday.
