    On Mother's Day, I made a hack of LeafGreen where you name your mother instead of your rival, though I haven't posted it yet. But what small hack can be made for Halloween? Any ideas?
     
    Replacing all Pokemon with dark or ghost counterparts spring to mind, or make them look more horrific (or both). And trainers could be based on those images on the internet where people are dressed and act like Pokemon, as well as witches and creepy things.
     
    I actually made a short Halloween hack about a month ago just to try out some scripting stuff which I had never tried before. While its not really Halloween themed, it could probably be seen as a supernatual game of some sort.

    People could be dressed up as ghouls, monsters and even Pokemon if they're wandering the streets looking for candy. Spherical Ice's graphical suggestions are probably the best and easiest things do to with you want a Halloween-styled hack.
     
    You could make a spooky script idea and put it in. And insert a mansion on a map and create some type of ghost mini-game including some scripting/ASM. XD And change all the sprites with dark-looking Pokemon and add their secondary type to Ghost/Dark.

    ~Well your starter could be a present like in black and white
    ~Christmas lights on the trees (inside in all houses =o)
    ~Snowy outside look
    ~New trainer Class:
    Mailman
    Elf (Part of team)
    Santa (Leader of team)
    -What else..-
    Lets get to work then :P

    Halloween:
    Well most ideas have been spoken

    Easter:
    ~Spring like look (Obvious)
    ~ Easter egg hunts
    ~ The eggs are Pokémon^ lol
    -Hmmmm-

    4th one: Not sure

    Shiny Quagsire/Sparkles, made seasons in his hack. If he makes a tool or release we can use the seasons to put 4 Differnt holidays into a hack.

    Yes I did. I said I'm planning one, not making one. It's not exactly a hack, because it doesn't feature anything great and innovative. Just some scripts, tiles and sprites that weren't initially on Fire Red. =P

    Yeah, for halloween use a dark palette for the whole game, seems like the quickest way to give the game a "scary" environment.

    Season changes you say? First the day/night system, now seasons. Is there anything that can't be done in a 3rd gen hack?

    So are the seasons just for looks and detail like the day/night system, or can maps be altered like Black/White?
     
    Well, the only way you could have changing maps is most likely if you set a script to check which season (After they were implimented) it is so that when you warp it warps you to the correct season map. However, that would take up a lot of space and take a lot of time, so I don't know how realistic it is (Or for that matter if you can even check the season through script).
     
    Hm... for a Halloween Hack, eh? Well I know you could make the hack with halloween themed things, such as old buildings, graveyards, pumpkins, dead trees, and only encounter mostly Ghost-type Pokémon.

    That's what I'd recommend for a short Pokémon Halloween hack. ;D

    Like you could also plan on a Christmas Pokémon hack as well, with Christmas stuff. :)
     
    I once made a map based on holidays, though it's very old and has no purpose. In the Christmas part, shallow water was used for snow and you can jump down the chimney. The house was dark and there was a random tree with boxes around it. That's pretty much my best holiday hack ^_^; Unless you coun't Mother's Day. Then that's the best holiday hack I've made.
