They're lagging my window to the point where every letter I type is printed out slowly in front of me, and scrolls take three seconds to kick in. Also, I had to retype this on my iPad because Firefox crashed after using an entire core of my processor.

There's a setting in the coding to disable it on mobile devices, such as your iPad. Do you use a regular computer as well or solely the iPad? I will try to contact Audy and help him find the bit in the code to disable that for mobile users, at the very least. :)

I use a regular computer mainly, with Firefox. I was able to type it up on my iPad because of that setting, thank goodness.
Should be better now. Let me know.
It's definitely a lot better, I can use PC normally again, thanks! Though it still hogs an entire CPU core...

Ah, shame it's been removed. It was a nice mini-feature, especially since it's the closest snow I can experience :p Though, if I may ask, it seems that the problem is all rooted towards your CPU. Is it old? Do you experience problems from other sources, such as games or slightly-extensive programs (such as Photoshop, or even Microsoft Office products)? If you do, I would highly recommend considering a replacement processor should you be able to afford it.

Nah, it usually doesn't struggle too much. It's an Intel i5 3.2 GHz quad-core, so I doubt it's my CPU causing these issues. It's probably the animation loop that was running continuously and causing Firefox to use all the processing power it could.

Ah, well, Firefox itself is known to be a major CPU-hog. I'd urge you to change, but browser-preference is something that can't be quite changed easily. Anyway, cheers!

I'd check the add-ons you're running. I've experienced no issues with the flakes that were in use this morning/last night while using Firefox, be it on PC or elsewhere.

    My own extensions for reference:
