Black and White have introduced a lot of brand new concepts. One of them is the amount of version differences and the extent to which they extend the storyline. Long gone are the days of just a few Pokemon differences between the two - but now we have different gym leaders in different versions, different cutscenes, different cities and different aesthetics in different locations. These are just a few - there's bound to be a lot more we don't even know yet.

How do you feel about these changes? Would you prefer them to be similar - like in G/S? Or do you think these changes are revolutionary and will forever change the way Pokemon is seen - even in future games? How do you think the third game will deal with these changes between B/W?

Personally, in a way, I love the changes... but I don't. It means if I only get White for some reason, then I'll miss out on the different city and different overall atmosphere.

i like the version exclusives buuut the huge amount of version exclusive pokemon i just hate i mean as long as it was rankurusu and gochiseruzu or however its spelt i was fine but wargle isnt in rankurusus version :(

    It sucks. T_T
I've pre-ordered black. so I won't be getting that awesome vileplume like pokemon.

I love that there are so many differences and I hope to see many more.

I always buy both versions of every Pokemon game, but I never end up playing very much of the second game. Ex. I bought both HG and SS, I fully completed SS, but never touched HG.

The differences make me eager and excited to play both!

Well, I only ever get one game whenever two come out. I'm not made of money. I also have had trouble with version differences in past pairs of games simply because I haven't had anyone IRL who had the other one since Gen 1 & 2 when my brother and I each got one. The exception to that was HGSS when I had a boyfriend, and we got one of each and played them together, but we broke up a couple months ago.

Unless one of my friends actually gets Black (none of them are into Pokemon enough anymore to get a new game unless something compels them enough to), I won't have a partner to play with. At least with global trading things over the internet, version-exclusive Pokemon aren't a big deal. I can always look up stuff on YouTube or whatever, though, if I wanted to see the other differences. At most it'll be a minor disappointment if I don't have a Black-player to play with.

I'm loving the differences. It actually gives me a reason to buy the two versions now, as before I'd get one and be done with it... there was no real incentive to buy the second version.

XD, I think Pokemon Black got the short end of the stick as far as the version exclusives go. With the exception of Reshiram (whom I prefer over Zekrom, but they are both great designs, have great typings and equally amazing moves), I think all the Black exclusives (Erufuun, Gothilselle, Vuljina) are inferior in comparison the White exclusives (Doredia, Ranculus, Wargle). Of course, it doesn't matter terribly as far as I'm concerned, because I will own both games (one Japanese, one English) and I have no intention of using any of these Pokemon.

Still, Pokemon White is superior, as White Forest (where I currently reside, hurr durr) totally pwns Dark City in my opinion. I think it's odd that the final GLs are different, though; I don't care whether I battle Iris or old man Shaga (who reminds me of Drake, so I'm getting a minor crush on him [out of admiration, not because he's hot, lol] because he just seems so wise and powerful, like Drake) but was that really necessary? Just make either one the GL please.

The best version exclusive (that I know of) is that White has Seed bby. :) Life is complete and nothing else matters, kthxbai. I'll be getting Black and White though, SO...

I like how the versions are more balanced with the exclusives than in the past.
    I,e
    Zerkom>Resh
    Rankurusu>Gochizeru
    Vuljina<Wargle
    Goroggu<Kirizizan.

i really like that there are so many differences. to me it makes it worth while to play the other one right after u beat the the other. i know most of the time, like with ss and hg i dont really feel a need to beat the other game because i have already beat it once and it is just repetitive playing them right after the other.

I really like the idea and look of White Forest, but I definately do not like Dark City, which is what swayed my decision to get White instead of Black, I prefer the pokemon in black, but, after all, they are just pokemon.

I wonder what they're gonna do with the Director's Cut Version... I want to battle Iris and Epic Beard Guy in that one.
But yeah, I always go with what's canon, which is probably White, because Iris joins Ash' party. Unless her absence makes Beard Man the gym leader, of course.
But yeah, I like the drastic differences between the games. If you're the kind of person who buys both games, it's less boring to play the second one because of those differences, right? And I don't think you're missing much if you don't play the other one too.

For me the version exclusives are like that:
Rankurusu < Gochiruzeru (Yeah,Gothilselle rocks. I'll get one by GTS.)
Doredia < Erefuun (Another thought propably weird for you)
    Wargle > Barujina
    Copypasta 1 = Copypasta 2
    Zekrom = Reshiram
Black wins for me by pokemon, however i prefer natural aestethic changes, such as trees, grass and forests. ^^
Well,i would prefer to fight Shaga instead of Iris. She's a 10-year old child. >_< Well, she has the same team as Shaga so i think the gym switch is actually pointless.

Well, i've got Pokémon White, I only thought that there was City & Pokémon Version Exclusive(s) I didn't know the storyline differed in both games - gives me more of a reason to buy Pokémon Black now :).

the same bull they always give us.

    Probably

-An Actual champion (say, Iris maybe, like they did in Emerald) or you would just face Adeku earlier
    -MOAR Legend acsess
-Acsess to black and white exclusive areas
    -Slighty enhanced storyline
    -maybe the OW follow feature

The vulture line (Baruchai and Barujina) is exclusive to Black? That's disappointing. I was hoping for an easy way to get Washibon and Wargle, who are exclusive to White. I was also hoping to battle Iris in Black, but she can only battled in White. It should've been the other way around.

I don't see a big problem with them. I like them a lot and I like seeing new things!
Old things get old... ya know?
