How many shinies have you caught/seen so far?

At least 10 years of playing the games and the first shiny I ever saw was yesterday morning in Pearl. It was a shiny Shinx and I promptly caught it.
 
I've seen four, not counting a Geodude in a hack that I was making and eventually gave up on, and a possible Shuckle once on Crystal.

Well, they have a 1 in 8132 chance of appearing, and they're exceedingly rare, not to mention the excitement of getting one is divine.

You can't get a legimate shiny Victini, so it's obviously hacked.
 
Okay seriously I've said this three times already, I already know that thank you very much. I got in a trade in GameFAQS, and I was well aware that it was hacked.

Same with Zekrom and Reshiram. Give me a break already.
 
I've been playing theese games since I was in kiddieschool, and I'm almost 20 years old. The shiny's I've seen. Gyarados.
How do I even find them? If it's supposed to be random, then the developers played a cruel joke to everyone whos impatient. :c

They're a different colour.
HOW AWESOME IS THAT???
And also it's like, for me it is anyways, a symbol of status in the game since they're so damn rare.

I saw a shiny Golbat in Sapphire, but I ran out of Ultra Balls. In Ruby, I found and caught a shiny Zigzagoon, but my stupid friend whom I loaned the game to so he could go Feebas fishing for my (he owed me) decided to restart the game, deleting said Zigzagoon.
 
Seen: Paras (in FR Safari Zone - wild Paras fled) and Pidgey (the second Pokémon I encountered in a save file, so I had no Pokéballs).

Caught: Starly (found randomly while grinding), Mewtwo (SR'ing in FR - hell yeah), Shinx (found randomly when I was grinding after my first badge), Shelmet (found randomly), Ho-oh (SR), three Kanto birds (a copy of FR I bought still had a save file on it) and Gyarados (...Gyarados - HG).

Hatched: Litwick (Masuda), Bronzong (Masuda), Nidoqueen (random hatch while breeding for a +Def nature) and Pikachu (Masuda).

Event: Crown Beasts.
 
I've never even seen a shiny Pokemon.
 
My first shiny encounter (besides the Red Gyarados) was a shiny Hoothoot which--with full pride, to this day--I can say I caught and evolved! ^-^ This was after I stopped watching the shows, so I had no idea about Ash's Noctowl until about a year after that game was erased...(I was an idiot child, which I regret to this day).

My next encounters were a Voltorb and a Weezing, respectively. Unfortunately, neither were caught. :/

Own: Cherubi, Purugly, Buneary, Geodude, and an Arceus (named Llama, mind you)
Caught: Purrloin (happily named Cat Daddy, even though it was a girl), while training my Llama.

Hmmm, maybe training with a shiny attracts other shinies.
 
In Gold, I found a shiny doduo while training for Elite Four
In Emerald, I found a shiny elektrike randomly while cycling around
In Diamond, I found a shiny Machop while using the poke'radar in COMPLETE FOG just for fun :P
In Black I traded a deino for a shiny shelmet, and a gurdurr for a shiny graveler which is now a golem :)
 
I have only encountered 1 shiny, my awesome little level 3 lillipup. One day I will train him and rock out with the shiny mustache.
 
I have a few. My caught shinies are:
Tangela (LeafGreen)
Roselia (hatched on Emerald)
Palkia (reset)
Spiritomb (reset)
Combee (male, was resetting for a female)
Giratina (reset)
Skitty (chained)
Voltorb (chained)
Electivire (chained as an Elekid)

I have a box on Platinum that is full of GTS traded shinies, I have the shiny Event Pokemon and I have two shiny Goletts via GTS as well. I'm trying right now to Masuda Method for a shiny Golett of my own; I want to have one that I can actually nickname.
 
In the original Gold version I caught my first Shiny, a Golden Hoothoot which I traded my friend for a Celebi. Then I caught a shiny Tentacool in Silver version. After that no other shinies were caught by me until my first day playing Black when I caught a shiny Purloin.
