How much do you really know about computers?

Your score: 44% (11 points out of 25)

Though in reality it should be like 8%, 2 of 25 or something, since I don't know shit about computers and a lot of those just had to be lucky guesses.

I got 20/25 without any online research on any of the questions. Some of these questions are pretty irrelevant. "How many pins are used in modern desktop motherboard power connectors?" I work in the technology field and I don't connect enough motherboards to power supplies to memorize the number of pins on the connection. Motherboards typically come with owner's manuals that diagram all of the relevant parts, and even if that's missing for some reason and you can't find one online, it's ridiculously easy to just figure it out based on looking at the motherboard. Memorizing the number of pins on the connector is a useless waste of brainpower. It's the kind of thing you would probably memorize naturally if you did day-in and day-out, but it's not information you would need even if you were connecting power supplies to motherboards on a daily basis. There were others that weren't very great, too. I don't care what branding Intel uses for their new SSD, what I care about is whether it out-performs competing technology at a better price-point. Also, is the failure rate acceptable? That's a common issue with SSDs.
