How much of the game do you actually play?

Hi everyone. What I mean is how much of the game Pokémon do you usually play before you lose interest? I guess I usually just catch all the Pokémon I can and complete the main story. This of course involves defeating the Elite Four and what-not.

I don't usually push myself to catch every Pokémon in the game for "Pokedex Completion."

For Sword and Scarlet: Beat the game. Prepared a few Pokemon for raids. Circled back for Pokedex completion later. Pushed for Pokedex completion more in the event of trading with a sibling. Played quite a bit past that for legendary raids.

Before that: Beat the game. Popped into the battle facility, but not much more than a few battles. Put them down. Picked them back up after watching someone else play Pokemon. Got into breeding and trying to trade with said person. Racked up a lot of hours just doing that. Decided to complete the Pokedex in there too (for items useful for breeding, but also for the sake of options).

For any challenge runs: Beat the Champion. Likely never touches it again (or, if so, just to check something rather than play).

I play all the "canon" (story) content, including post-game/DLC episodes if I have access to them. So once the adventure ends I'm pretty much done, no interest in dex completion, PvP or other side-activities that consume too much time I'd rather spent playing some other games.

I usually complete main story, then complete any postgame story. I typically don't do a postgame legendary chase or Pokédex completion, but I've been playing dynamax adventures lately hoping to get every legendary (over half way there)

I have barely play any Pokemon these days actually. Because I've been spending most of my free time working on a game of mines in Game Maker as a hobbyist and solo dev. When a new 7 star Tera Raid drops though, I want to always challenge it, as I like 7 star Tera Raid battles and want to defeat every one that comes out. :) Only one I haven't beaten is Hisuian Samurott (which I didn't even fight, and is a little hard for me to explain why I didn't end up challenging it.)

In general I'm more about trying to develop a game these days rather then play games, to chase a dream I don't want miss out on and want to reach. Though I'll let a few days in the week open to play them in my spare time. I'm also more of a person nowadays who wants to play different games rather than stick to one or two to broaden my horizons on creative process (though, do note, I want to get ideas from life more than existing established ones, and as much as possible) .

When gen 10 comes out and I have the right system to play it, I'll be sure to spend less time on game development to be able to play through the title faster than I usually do with games nowadays. Same with Legends Z-A. Kind of the same with the competitive battling side of things too.

I explore everywhere, pick up every unique item and use every money/Exp. fodder trainer for their intended purpose =P

Since SwSh I've started completing the PokeDexes and doing shiny hunting. I often don't bother with battle facilities. Likes doing other side stuff like Contests and Pokestar studios though.

A lot! I try to find mostly every hidden item (harder with items respawning in SV so I stopped there, lol), try to battle each trainer, and absolutely always fill my dex to get the Shiny Charm. I like getting my money's worth so I try to put at least 40-50 hours into each game.

Have definitely gotten a bit lazier with SV though, mostly due to the performance hindering my enjoyment ):
