5th Gen Hugh

Hugh is the B2/W2 rival. He is looking for his sister's stolen Purrloin and will always have the starter strong against yours. Team Plasma calls him Qwilfish hair, and his catchphrase is "you're about to see my rage!" I'd describe Hugh as a midstep between friendly and jerky rival.

What did you think of Hugh? I thought his character motivation was interesting enough, but he's definitely not my favorite rival by any means.

I really liked him, probably much much more than Gary, since he's actually a good person and a rival. :P

He was an interesting character for those games. He was loyal to you and to his sister, but he was very rash. He was always jumping into battles with Team Plasma. He was also determined and a little too gung-ho. I think that Game Freak should have made his character a little more calm and collected. At least they should have made it so that he actually thought before he acted. All in all, he was actually a good rival to have. Since I always picked Oshawott as my starter, his rival battles were actually hard.
