    would you keep Sunflora or Meganium? (Meganium isnt your original starter.)
     
    I would personally pick Meganium mainly because its a 3rd evolution and it has proven to be tough. I have never had a sunflora though so i guess i cant make an appropriate assumption.
     
    Going to move this to Pokemon General as Pokepoll-y sort of threads tend to fit there better (plus you can get both in GSC and also Colosseum as well, so =p).
     
    Definitely Sunflora. I love its high special attack. It's perfect for moves like Petal Dance and Leaf Storm. Its speed is pretty sad, but with its ability Chlorophyll you could just teach it Sunny Day. Plus it's a thousand times cuter then Meganium.

    So even though all its stats besides its special attack stat are lower then Meganium's I'd still choose it. I just like it so much better and when used properly it can do some amazing things.
     
    Meganium is better overall, though admittedly I have next to zero experience training either. I'd just as soon stick with Meganium's higher overall stats.

    I don't like either of them, but if I had a choice, I'm going with Meganium. It has better stats than Sunflora, IMO.
     
    I've never used one before, so I don't know how strong they are and stuff.
    But I chose Meganium, because I quite like Chikorita. it's not one of my favorites, but it's pretty cool.

    Higher base stat total + based off a dinosaur = awesome?
     
    Chikorita, Bayleef, and Meganium are the first Pokemon I ever had in my first Pokemon game, Crystal.
    Obviously, they hold a special place in me.

    But not only that. I'm just great with it too.
    Sunflora is also good, because I refuse to call any Pokemon bad based on stats. Strategies can turn the tables around.

    In HeartGold, I've defeated each Gym Leader with a Pokemon just their Pokemon's level average with a weakness to the Gym Leaders type, and it was a solo without any items or hold items (I like taking that challenge).
    I did the same thing with my Meganium, and Meganium soloed the whole of Red's team in game, without any healing items, hold items, anything, and without any switch or help from other Pokemon.
    I don't care that its attack stat is not as good. It one hit Ko-ed all six of Red's Pokemon when it was at level 90.
     
    Meganium, one of my favorite pokes. Also is a solid defensive pokemon =)
     
    Can't I just get the candy wrapper from Professor Elm? :(

    If it were sunkern I'd have to leave meganium behind, but meganium gets my vote purely for being somewhat bulky. As nice as Solar Power is, it doesn't matter if my pokemon is too slow to actually do anything.
     
    Meganium has better stats and both of sunflora's abilities have a downside to it. as meganiums is solid meaning its ability will never be cancelled except with mold breaker.
     
    Meganium, and it's my starter on SS and I feel offended that you're comparing it to Sunflora. Of all pokemon! :paranoid: :D
     
    I've always liked Meganium for it's aesthetics and defensive capabilities in the games. Not to mention, in the anime, it's always depicted as calm and relaxed with healing powers which is a useful feature for any Pokémon in my opinion. So Meganium for me.
