I'm a little bit oshy.

What are Australian politics like?
Opinion on metalheads?
Opinion on wrestling?
Opinions on Cofagrigus, Feraligatr, Seismitoad and Rhyperior?
What was your reaction when you first saw Oshawott (and the other two starters)?
Don't you think Oshawott is a bit... overrated?

Australian politics are a complete joke. Only thing they are really good at is making me laugh.

Metalheads... metal is my least fave of all the music genres to have ever existed. My mother is actually the reason I hate it, because I claimed it was what caused her to develop the uncontrollable anger she seems to unleash on me lately. Seriously, don't listen to music with loads of screaming in it, because it's a bad influence to you.

Wrestling? I'm a girl and most never seem to be fans of it.

Not much of a fan of those Pokemon, but I do kinda like the design theme with Seismitoad's evolution line. Feraligatr is weirdly my least fave Johto starter (the irony is that most of my fave starters tend to be the Water-types), Cofagrigus has those creepy Dex entries and Rhyperior... Rock is my least fave type so not much comment here.

I was like "they're all so adorable!" but it was Ash's Oshawott in the anime that clearly cemented the otter as my true Poke-mascot. I'm also one of the few who actually likes Tepig's line as well, given how hated Emboar tends to get.

Oshawott overrated? Maybe a little given it's the only one of the trio to actually have stats that aren't in the wrong place, but it is extremely marketable in Japan towards the kids and that's what I blame for Ash's Oshawott not evolving in the anime, which is a shame because I wanted it to be his first evolving Water starter (at least Froakie broke that curse so I'm happy with how that turned out).

Oshawott is clearly you favourite starter (good choice btw). but who is your second favourite starter?

Froakie! It initially started off my least fave of Kalos's starters but as the evolutions got revealed I knew it was actually a badass underneath and as a result it became the fave of that trio.

What will you do first if you get to become Australia's PM

Not break any promises I make, because that's sadly what Abbott is failing to do.

Hikari, do you have any favorite Eeveelutions, by any chance?

My faves are Glaceon, Vaporeon and Sylveon because I like their designs, and of course two of them are blue (plus Sylveon's shiny form which is basically its regular colors inverted) and I have a love for blue-colored Pokemon myself.

If you started a game and professor give you a starter, but the starter is water type. What would you choose?
If you could have an eevelution in real life, what would you choose (2 only :3)?

I had no idea you had ASD... This helps me understand you better.

You also befriended me when I joined, which I thought was totally random. :P

Australia seems a nice place, do you enjoy living there?

Oshawott... because you know me. Literally my bae <333

I'd have a Vaporeon! How can you not resist the fact its a Water-type and has that beautiful mermaid tail?

I've had ASD since I was 3 (that's what I was told) but it wasn't until several years later that I learned I had the condition. The traits I display are more akin to typical Aspergers traits though, such as the social issues I tend to suffer and also explained why I somehow a bit advanced ahead of most primary school kids when it came to certain stuff.

I don't even recall that being random, but oh well I was not the smart member back then.

Yeah I do enjoy it here in Australia. Been living in Sydney for my whole life, and while our government is currently a complete joke it's still a country loved for its culture and unique views on the world.

Question 1:
If there could be a gen 7, what types or kinds of pokemon do you want to see more of?

Question 2:
Long haired serena or current short haired serena?

Question 2.5:
Do you find it interesting or weird that Pokemon often has these really anthromorphic bipedal creatures that often end up on the "wrong side" of the internet and its fans? Gardevoir, Lilligant, Roserade, and of course Meloetta?

Question 3:
Magical Girl-based anime, satirical comedy, My Little Pony (yeah I'm a Brony lol), cute Japanese stuff, adorable celebrities and well, Pokemon of course

I pretty much love your tastes in stuff.

Regarding MLP, what did you think of the past seasons of Friendship is magic? Based on my own view Clearly the very first season where Lauren Faust heralded the show was undoubtedly the best, and what i also grew up with. Season 2 was okay, but Season 3 was just horrid. It was horrid in a sense that there was no excuse to make only 13 episodes and some of the episodes felt really rushed or even worse. I'd like to know about your opinions on MLP.

Question 4:
What were your favorite moments in Black and White 1 and Black and White 2?

I'd love to see more new dual Fairy-types paired with types that haven't been seen with it yet. A Dark/Fairy in my opinion would be something really awesome to see them pull off.

Question 2:
Long haired serena or current short haired serena?

I'm actually even on this one, since she does look good in both designs. They have their pros and cons, but she's one of the most fashionable female characters in the series to the point she'd look good in anything. If I had to choose one, her current short hair design is slightly better since her outfit has more color and stands out more compared to her original design.

I actually love those Pokemon, even if they get their negative fans. It's interesting but I guess it's just unfortunate.

Why thanks! My musical taste in particular is really good, if you were spotting my What Are You Listening To posts. As for MLP, I never watched much of the Friendship Is Magic series myself but I do love the fanart that gets made out of it. Not much opinion I can provide on if the series got worse after Lauren Faust's departure but it has been throwing more unexpected twists lately.

Question 4:
What were your favorite moments in Black and White 1 and Black and White 2?

Black/White: Literally the entire plot. It was such a big step-up from most previous Pokemon games, but the ultimate best part is near the end where the mascot dragon recognizes you as the hero to take on N's dragon and N's message at the end is really emotional.

Black 2/White 2: The big moment where the Plasma Frigate freezes up Opelucid City, with ice so thick that not even Drayden's Haxorus could break it. The story may not have been the same as B/W but it's still very intense. Also, the fact Hugh (your main rival) sets out on a journey so he could find his sister's stolen Purrloin.

Dark/Fairy

That would actually be a really terrifying thing to go up against especially in competitive play. 2 Immunities and a resistance against the likes of Gengar? Scary stuff.

I pretty much with the big BW2 moment there. I also found that moment to be intense and i really like Hugh as the friendly rival in the game. He wasn't frequently battled as much as Cheren and Bianca were but at least he wasn't some EXP Bag that rivals tend to be the more your team gets stronger in the main storyline. And yes, Hugh is cool. I really did like his character in the said game.

Hiki! How's my favorite Oshawott?
I have to ask this, how and why are you so nice to everyone everywhere you go around here?

Hiki... I actually kinda like that.

But as for your question, I guess I was somehow influenced by a lot of staff members to become more of a nice helping hand and that was how my big personality turnaround of 2013 (or 2014, depending on how you view it) came into shape. I also like helping the new generation who come into PC, and that's why I have made so many friends here.

DId you think that the introduction of the Fairy type and the eventual re-typing of several pokemon into the fairy type helped even the casual non competitive players re-diversify their party?

I think it actually did. I'm not really a competitive expert since I don't battle much, but the type's introduction has changed so many's thoughts around a lot of the resident Pokemon on their own. Stuff like Clefable and Azumarill went from so-so to downright awesome.

How would you react If gen 7 introduced a new entry hazard move for steel types called Hidden Missiles. Hidden Missiles factor in Steel type weakness and deal %HP damage much like what stealth rocks do, except hidden missiles cannot be Rapid Spun or Defogged. Hidden Missiles last for x number of turns or until the battle is over.

Do you like vodka?
What if the fairy-type wasn't introduced?
Opinion on Weavile and Primal Groudon?
Most overrated Pokemon?
Are there any propagandistic TV channels in Australia?

Nope. I hate alcohol as a whole.

I think the competitive scene would still be too unbalanced, especially if we still had Mega Evolution in previous generations. Fairy is pretty much the only thing that can take a Dragon-type out while resisting their strongest moves at the same time.

Weavile? It's alright but not my cup of tea because it's so difficult to use. As for Primal Groudon, I find him a bit too OP plus I love Kyogre way better.

Charizard, Lucario and Mewtwo. 'Nuff said.

Nope, as far as I'm aware.

That would be insanely broken to the point I'd likely see it get banned from competitive play. Unremoveable entry hazards will really cause the metagame to lopside so badly, in fact just as bad as when Psychic-type dominated everything in 1st Gen.

Hey Hika!

What albums are you looking forward to the most this year?
What would you say is your preferred genre of music?

I can't really name much because there is just too many great new music coming out this year alone, and we already had some really awesome gems come out in the past couple of months.

I like most genres, but absolutely can't tolerate classical/jazz, and especially metal, mainly because my mother loves that genre a lot and exposes me too much to all the screaming that comes with it.

Pretty simple: who among the "100's BST600" Club are the most adorable?
Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Victini? (Gen 6 has none sadly)

especially metal, mainly because my mother loves that genre a lot and exposes me too much to all the screaming that comes with it.
At least you have a parent that actually likes Metal.

Question 2: If ever you did a commentated "lets play" of a Pokemon game and you suddenly said the word "kill" in a battle, would you actually cough it up and say a different term instead?

Yeah it's weird that 6th Gen broke the tradition. But they're all really cute, although if I had to pick I'd go for Manaphy because I love Water-types.

I never really intend to say it, and I pretty much gave up on commenting on Let's Plays as of late because there was literally no way to even leave a comment.

Pretty Big and SRSBNS question to ask, yeah i figured you'll be the first one to answer this ;)

We are all aware (Ihope) with the things and themes of the Pokemon generations, which I'll list down here, which will be called Thematic Motifs (but some of these interpretations are based on my own views, aside from sources I read from Bulbapedia)

Spoiler:

Now that's out of the way, What do you think is a good thematic motif to explore for Gen 7 according to what's happening right now with people being more vocal about what's good or not, social media, Floyd Mayweather proving that why he's still undefeated (yeah it really sucks it had to happen), clashes between old timers vs the new generations, 90s kids arguing all the time with Millennial kids (aka the should be teenagers right now), people always finding some conspiracies to uncover, Pewdiepie, Loss of family bonding because of dem gadgets, the rapid progress of technology, ESPORTS, acceptance of norms and re-evaluating of social norms, equality between Men and Women becoming more even, the good and bad of what's happening right now.

I think from what you're saying near the end, I could likely see the theme for 7th Gen be "the old vs the new" because as we know, tons have changed now compared to when most of the first Pokemon fans were still kids, and now we have new generations of fans so we will be seeing even more change and we need to bring the generations together and reflect on how they were important collectively.
