i'm taller than you

I'm not really sure about my height but my mom is 5'0" and I'm taller than her by a few inches so yeah. For a kid, I guess I'm pretty much average. Doesn't bother me a lot, except when I'm talking to tall people aheh

I am 5'3'', which is one inch higher than the average height for an adult female of my ethnicity. I'm fine with my height as whether I'm tall or short isn't important to me, nor does it bear any significance in any aspect of my life.

Though, my About Me, says I am 5'8, I am really 5'10.

15 male standing at approx. 5'6 and weighing in at about 103 lbs (last time I checked was about a month ago so I really don't know what I am at now). I'd consider myself medium compared to all the people at my school. 5'6-5'9 seems to be the average height. But, I'd like to be taller. Preferably at least 5'9-6 feet.

I also like to tower over my mom because she used to do that to me. I hit my growth spurt about a year ago and before then, I was pretty short.

I'm 5'6". Kind of short. I'd be lying if I said I haven't wished to be taller, but I'm generally ok with my height.

Also, wow, some of you guys are buildings.

I'm just a shade under 6' 1" at last check, though that was about 2 years ago now (not that I grown since hitting 21). I'm not disappointed with my height, but as a kid I was hoping to hit 6' 3", so that I could beat out my dad, who's one of the tallest in our whole family.

I guess I have to be content with the fact that I'm taller than 80% of the people at my work, so they can make me feel taller than I actually am :p

Out of curiosity, how many of us tall people were tall as young kids (and how many shorties have always been that way)? People always make it seem common for people who are tall in their primary years to end up much shorter than people later in life but I think these claims are greatly exaggerated. I mean, I was 150cm tall when I was nine and have always been one of the tallest around (although not nearly as scarily tall as Harley from what Fox says haha) so it certainly wasn't true for me.

I've heard of the concept of late bloomers of course, but I think that if you don't start out as tall you won't magically get a lot taller later on either... In my case, I'm pretty tall, but really I was already like 175cm at the age of 12 or something. My parents actually wanted me to take hormones cause they were afraid I'd become 2m+ at this rate, haha. Luckily, I stopped growing almost completely just a year or two later. c:

Never once actually measured my height, but according to my sister, she says I could be about 5'4" which isn't bad considering it's probably the average for Asian women. It hasn't had a huge impact on my life as I haven't placed much emphasis on it, but on the bright side, most guys are taller than myself so won't have to worry about that c: Don't mind being petite in size.

I'm 5'1", so pretty short. The only issues I really have are not being able to reach stuff and people often think I'm a bit younger than I actually am, so it's not bad. I don't think I would change it.

I'm currently 5"10, and I've been tall my entire life. I come from a tall family, and I was taller than almost my entire grade from Kindergarten through most of high school. People used to ask me if I played basketball all the time, ugh. To this day, I have awkward moments of being with a group of short friends and feeling like a babysitter lol.

I'm 155cm (5'1"), so what?

Y'all act like being short is something bad. Seriously.
I have not noticed that in this thread lol.

Oh God the "you should play basketball" comments used to drive me mad.
If height determined everything it would be a very sad day.

I hear you, but I'm on the opposite end of the court. I'm 5'2 and played basketball a lot even well before I reached 5'0 and I got the "Wait you play basketball? But you're too short! You'll probably get yourself hurt.". It's kinda depressing tbh :(

You honestly find the weirdest things to be aggressive about...

I'm 6'2" or so. I like it. Never got the basketball comments like some of you but I did always get asked to play rugby when I was 14/15, hah.
