Nobody's more boring than someone who only plays single player games like I do ;; I'm only hesitant about jumping on to the multiplayer trend because of how aggressive some online communities can be D:

You just gotta be 10x more agressive. Oh, they're joking about having fun with your mom? Well, you need to go actually have fun with theirs!

That's the problem though D: I'm normally a passive person all the time, and those "your mom" jokes are pretty much from the last decade so I don't know why people keep using them >>;; They clearly can't think for themselves in terms of insults outside of making fun of other peoples' moms.

They're doing "your mom" jokes because it's mother's day?

Is that a legitimate reason or...? @.@ Anyway, the immaturity level of some online gaming communities has had a negative impact on my opinion of multiplayer games \: Even in MMORPGs I'm mainly a solo player that does quests by myself XD

It was a joke. :D Happy mother's day, btw. The only RPG games I play are those far from mainstream ones, like Torchlight.

I don't really play multiplayer games either... I'll only do it if it's with friends that I already know, but even then it's such a hassle to get everyone online at the same time, make sure they aren't having any connection issues, etc.

I'm too shy to play with other people, though. I end up just playing single player games as a result.

Playing with people I'm friends with is stressful for me - I'm afraid I'm not on their level, that people will judge me, etc. But then I end up not being able to play the games I like like mobas because they're really only fun with friends and playing with others is just too anxiety-inducing.

Someone learn Smite with me!

The only multiplayer game I really engaged in was RuneScape, and up until about 2009 it had an incredibly friendly community full of people that were eager to help others and have a good time. Like anything that gets really popular though, you get hordes of noobs who haven't heard of Google or the help interface or didn't even read the tutorial, which breeds cliques that kill the social aspect of the game. What really did it in in the end was those same cliquey people macroing the game for profit and crashing the economy.

When they brought back old school RS it was better, but still not the same. You had your elitists and noobs and overall morons that ran amuck wreaking havoc and making the game tiresome, which kind of kills any MMO at some point. Eh, it was fun while it lasted.

I heard MMOs!!! ^O^///
I loooove MMOS!!! What does everyone play? I haven't played Smite yet, but I did try Aria Kingdom...or whatever it's called. Currently I'm playing a MOBA called League of Legends. Anyone else play?

I much prefer playing local multiplayer to playing online. More satisfying to see your opponents reactions. Setting up online is a bit of a hassle. And playing online feels like a phone call to me, so I'm compelled to say a lot more than I need to which is annoying

(I like that this is mostly gaming talk lately :D)

I used to but that was the game that stressed me out because I felt worse than everyone and didn't want to drag them down! Being on a competitive team with friends is scary; my boyfriend plays LoL religiously and I hear him on Skype with his friends as they get into tiffs over who made the right call, who's causing the loss, etc.

Okay, I'm at a loss here, hopefully you guys could help.

You know how they have a name for people who are anti-business and people who are anti-government? Like anarcho-capitalism and anarcho-socialism?

Is there a term for someone who's anti-both?

I really don't think that there's a term for that (since I never heard of one), but I could totally invent one right now using greek works to make it look fancy :3

anti-epichekyvern

:l

Laisse-faire anarchy? Free trade??? Barter System?? A commune?? There's no such thing as a society without a form of 'business' :(

That's anarcho-communism. Why do you ask?

He was referring to the type of economic theory, not necessarily the type of society.
