Hi everyone! I'm not sure what to put here. I'm new, as you might be able to see because I am writing a thread here. Anyways. After peeking at other hello-posts I figured out I wanted to tell something about myself. I'm Paralysis. English is my second language, so I'm sorry if I make any mistakes. My first ever Pokémon game was probably Emerald, where I fell in love with Treecko and later Grovyle (Sceptile not so much). Grovyle was just really elegant (which is why I love dragon types) and then my Grovyle evolved into Sceptile.. Let no more be said. I'm a third generation fan - but don't ask me why. I like pretty much anything. I wouldn't say I am an artist, but I like to draw. I used to write, roleplays, short stories and poetry. I love pixel art too, I like to edit sprites. I'm okay with CSS, know some HTML coding but just the basics.
Well, that's my ramble. Feel free to add me on here. I never owned any of the new games, so I won't be able to tell you much about X and Y for example. Sorry about that. I'm still planning to, but there's some money problems I need to take care of first. Enjoy, take care, and to more adventures.

Lol I can relate to you quite a bit lol.
Welcome to the forums, I'm sure you'll like it here.
I like your taste. Third generation fan, Dragon type fan, Umbreon as an avatar. Pretty awesome to be honest :)
    Have fun!

Don't worry about your English skills, Paralysis! Your post seems very well-written in my opinion. Welcome to the forums as well by the way! Hopefully your 2015 is starting off well.

I started my Pokemon-playing career with a Hoenn game as well, except it was Ruby in my case, but I did manage to play Emerald at some point. Treecko is a pretty cool starter, even though I'm personally more of a Mudkip person. But still, all three Hoenn starters have their own unique stuff, and really awesome Mega Evolutions as well. Hopefully you get around to getting a 3DS so you can check out X & Y, but also the amazing Hoenn remakes Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. These games have been long-awaited and there's really amazing new graphics and expanded story compared to the original games.

Enjoy your time with us and if you need help you are always open to ask any staff members, but we even have people outside of the staff happy to lend a hand. I'm always open for a visitor message as well if you ever want to talk!

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone. Happy new year, too. I'll be sure to check OR & AS too. That does sound like a great combination right there. And yes, I hope I will be able to afford a 3DS this year.
    Well, see you around.

Hi Paralysis! It's great to have you here, very big welcome to PokeCommunity. (b' ')b No need to play the newer Pokemon games to settle in at all so you've come to a good little (well, big) forum. Hopefully you can get a 3DS sometime though as X/Y and OR/AS are both amazing titles that're totally worth it to play.. I'm personally hooked on OR/AS right now heh.

And wahey artists and writers! I make banners and other digital art in my spare time so it's wonderful seeing others who enjoy it as well. Seems like you're quite the diverse person so chances are you'll find ways to make the most out of this forum. Hope to see you actively posting around and if you need anything do contact one of the staff anytime. :) Brownie points for being a Grovyle fan too, he is definitely one of the coolest starters.

Cheers and hope you had a good new year!

Ah, awesome getting to know you! I loved Emerald too; I used to play with some friends over on 8th grade where we swapped secret base and battle each other with our wireless connections.. those were pretty great times! I started off with Torchic myself cause I had a soft spot for the fire types, haha, but Treecko was pretty incredible too~!

Aha and no worries; I'm pretty much a Generation 3 fan myself! OR/AS was amazing; hopefully you'll get to play it soon! At any rate, yeah here on this forum, you can chat about all the pokemon games you'd like, and there's even some bonuses too liiiike lounges, and even clubs, so feel free to make yourself at home, and we'l be right here. :3

Enjoy yourself, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, mmkay? <33

Yay, more welcomes! ≥﹏≤ Thank you Sheep, thank you Dragon.
Yes, I am a little allrounder, heh. Not that I'm too good at anything, I just enjoy doing it a lot. Your creations look wonderful. Brownie points? I feel honoured. Still working on my own pretty graphics, though.
I never rreally played Pokémon as a child. I was worried about the fact that I am a girl, and all that - pure nonsense, I tell you. Then when I finally shrugged off the bad feelings I could never really get to actually buying any of the newer games, and I had grown too old to find other kids that still liked it. So, yeah. No nostalgia for me there.
Sure, if I have any questions, I'll know where to go! :)
