Hello all! My name is Tyler I am 24 years old and as my screen name applies my favorite Pokemon is Dragonite. I have liked pokemon since the very beginning but stopped following it before the third generation came out. This is partly because I never upgraded my game boy color to a Nintendo DS for the games after pokemon silver/gold/crystal. I have a 2 and 1 year old of my own now and hope to pass down my pokemon card collection to my son when it is the right time. I still watch pokemon on tv with my children.
Look forward to meeting some of you and talking about pokemon!

Hi there Tyler, welcome to PC! Ah gosh I do hope I can get my kids into Pokemon if I ever decide to have any; it's an awesome franchise that I wouldn't want them to miss out on. But maybe that's my bias getting in the way, heh. </3

Have you been getting caught up with the games you've missed or do you not have a 3DS? The sixth generation of Pokemon has been especially awesome with these lovely new graphics and the games themselves are fantastic.. I'm really hooked on Alpha Sapphire right now. Looking forward to having you here with us and have a splendid time getting involved!

Ah that's so awesome you're planning to introduce your kids to Pokemon. Makes it all the more fun when the love runs in the family doesn't it? Aside from that, welcome aboard Tyler!

Hopefully you can upgrade to a 3DS soon so you can experience the 4th, 5th and 6th Generations. They all have some great stuff and are always worth a play, 6th Gen in particular went full-3D and I'm so hooked on OR/AS and X/Y myself, but I enjoy 5th Gen a lot as well. But either way, we're still happy to accept you here regardless if you're stuck in the past or not, since we have sections catering to all the Pokemon games and there's other nice places to discuss as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing you around, and if you need help getting started we have the Helpful Links thread, or even the Adoption Center if you're looking for a helpful member to show you around the forums based on your interests, plus learn more about the community in general. Have fun and don't hesitate to leave me a visitor message if you need anything!

    Hey, Tyler!

Welcome to PokéCommunity! Happy to meet someone who has also been with Pokémon since the very beginning! I really hope that you check out Gen 4 - 6 sometime in the near future, they're definitely not worth passing up. Particularly Gen 6 -- GameFreak made a huge step-up from the previous generations, most notably the fact that they went full-3D. The graphics are also phenomenal. Which is two of three reasons as to why Gen 6 is appealing to me. The last reason? This generation includes a remake of my favorite region, Hoenn! I realize that you've only played through the Kanto and Johto region, but out of the two, which would be your favorite? My personal favorite out of these two would definitely be the Johto region.

I really like the you're introducing your children to the Pokémon franchise. Like Sheep said, it's one that they certainly wouldn't want to miss out on.

    Pleasure meeting you!

    Why hello!
    Welcome to PC, Tyler.
That's absolutely amazing that you're intending on passing on the Pokemon tradition to your wee ones. Maybe raise a competitive genius hehe. I used to watch Pokemon on TV when I was young and I really enjoyed it, I haven't had much time for the anime lately but maybe I should start up again!

Anywho, I hope you enjoy your time here. Maybe you could pick up a 3DS to share with your kids and play some Pokemon X or Y and ORAS ^_^

Enjoy your time here, feel free to leave me a VM if you ever want to chat about Pokemon with someone~

It's nice to meet you, Tyler; welcome to PokéCommunity.

Dragonite is generally a pretty amazing Pokémon; I'm definitely a fan as well. Usually, dragon-types tend to seem fierce and intimidating, but this one, however, seemed to have taken steps towards a different direction, as many of us would agree that it looks rather cute (especially due to those puppy-looking eyes). In terms of battling, it could be very helpful as well; I've used it a few times before, personally, and it had never ceased to impress.

I hope you like it here, friend, and enjoy all your visits. If you need somebody to talk with, please feel free to send message to me; I'll reply as soon as I'm able.
