Is there anybody in here who is just staring to learn Japanese, or wants to learn. I've personally just started, and would like a study partner. Any takers?

Japan always has a beautiful cast to do the live action. It's still fun watching them trying to make the anime look realistic.

I feel like I'm alone on watching Itsuka Tenma this season. Sure the plot is a little cliched, by the colours and animation are just gorgeous. *o*
I was watching it for about five episodes. The art is gorgeous, like you said, but I just can't wrap around it much. Might give it another go next weekend.

I thought it was pretty meh all round, the promo art is pretty though. THere are a few nice looking shows running atm though, No.6, S;G, Iroha, Dr Pepper Loli, Usagi Drop and Penguinz.

Dunno what i'll start watching now i've finished GitS, only 111 series and 50+ films to choose from.

I was like super hype when this show came out since it was illustrated by like my favorite artist of all time, but then >censoring and >college internet. Waiting for BD treatment.

To be honest, I've never noticed the censoring. Maybe it just isn't as obvious as some of the other shows this season (BLOOD-C, I'm looking at you).

No. 6 is pretty meh all around, and that includes the art style. I don't see anything exceptionally well animated from what I've seen of it. That, and I hear people following it saying that it barely makes a lick of sense.

Sacred Seven is another anime this season that makes a good use of colours. The plot can be a little too straightforward, but I love the character designs.

I was talking about character design and backgrounds, nothing to do with animation although for a weekly series in 2011 it's not bad. Anime animation quality is hardly ever good...best recent one would be something like Fractale?

Nice, the steins;gate game OP as the ED this episode!

BECAUSE HE'S THE MAD SCIENTIST, HOUOUIN KYOUMA! WAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I noticed that, was a nice touch although Libera Me From Hell would have been more fitting considering what's about to happen. I will miss this show.

Considering that the game OP opens the melody to the song with the satellite drop, and that it's been pretty much implanted into my memory by now, it was a pretty freaking awesome moment. Don't think Libera me from hell would have made it any better. (especially since i tend to equate how the satellite drop looked with the Gundam colony drops XD)

Just finished up the wonderfully quirky Moyashimon, the last few episodes caught me off guard but it really was a fun watch. Wish it was more than 11 eps really.

EDIT-
PreCure are secretly Seiyan warriors?
Spoiler:

EDIT 2-
Sooooo....Pingu finally gets abstract, really interesting episode. Anyone get Akio vibes from pink haired bishie-san?

I haven't checked out the whole of J-E Discussion (for this anime season at least...)
But anyone else watching and enjoying The Idolmaster?

Even though I'm loving the anime series, the gripe I have is that it's too directed at people who've played the games.
That excludes a lot of people, since the non-spinoff games are either arcade or Xbox 360 (JP.)

Also more people need to watch Jewelpet Sunshine.
Aerosmith in Saturday morning girls animu is pretty awesome.

Watched a bit of Idolmaster and thought it was a bit crap, Only liked the older girl and the "handsome" girl, If I had liked a few more of them I would have kept watching.

As for Jewelpet, I want to watch but I'm pretty sure the first season isn't completley subbed, I'll be sticking with Pretty Cure until someone finishes subbing.

Idolmaster had a bad start, episode one was pretty uninteresting...
Also, you and I have similar idol interests ;)

Jewelpets in complicated.

The first series is not very interesting.

The second series (Twinkle) is a coming of age story of three girls as they go through the hardships of female puberty and life (especially for the protagonist, Akari, who in the beginning thinks she's merely living in the shadow of her elder sister.)
The DVD box set has an analysis by and an interview with a Tokyo University professor loved the series, which says a lot.

The third series (Sunshine) is like Lucky Star, but with more plot and even more pop culture references and parodies aimed at people in their 30s to 40s.
A certain whiteboard in it mentions names like "Bjork" and "Autechre" too, which was pretty awesome when I saw it.

You think the iM@S anime is too directed at those who've only played the games? Because I seriously wanted to get into iM@S for the longest time, and this anime marked the entry gate for me. I think it's doing quite a good job of fleshing out the characters and the general premise of becoming an idol. It might not be MADOKA ANOHANA STEINS;GATE good, but I still think it's fun.

I want to say that I don't have a favorite as of yet, but Iori is voiced by TEH RIE and has been getting quite a bit of screentime, so yeah.

I've been told that it was marketed too much at prior fans but I didn't really see that, yes if you've played the games you know the characters but they've hardly got depth so you pick it up soon enough. 'fraid I picked to continue Kodomo no Michael Jordan over this as my super nothing series.

In other news, Why is Nunnally piloting an Eva unit in the Nude?*spoiler contains partial nudity so don't open if your boss is standing behind you*
