    Johanna is the mother character of the Sinnoh player character. She is the first mother character with a name stated, and will also compete in Master Rank Contests with a Kanghaskan named Jumpy. She is also the first in game mother to have a confirmed Pokemon of her own.

    I find it very interesting she competes in Master Rank Contests, and I've had a run in with that before. Her Kanghaskan is pretty hard to beat in a Contest...
     
    She wasn't too memorable for me.

    Actually that's neat, I had no idea you could run into her in contests.

    It's a feature I like but I'm not willing to invest time in, so I just end up playing the Normal Rank.
     
    It was great that GF actually made your mother a character in the Pokemon universe who does her own stuff instead of just being some machine to heal you (or steal your money to buy goddamn Repels). Was revolutionary for its time imo. I miss Johanna. I miss Gen 4 :(
     
    I've heard about that, but I'm not sure which categories she competes in - I only ever reached Master Rank in Beauty and Smart, and while I think I did see Fantina and Jasmine, I don't remember Johanna.
